Dont mind either way, if this lessens people interest in 'rep' then good.

I'm fine with this. I like the whole positive aspect, and the inability to actually negrep. disagreeing is one thing, but playing stupid games to make it impossible for someone to rep is another, and I'm glad this will address that issue.

No strong opinion here, but it'll be fun to see who shrieks about it.

Except for the rep war that I've been involved in for the last month or so and one other thing, I've been relatively inactive, anyway. As I've already mentioned to some people real life has started taking up more time.

So, Lanz, as I've said all along to you and you predecessors. This is your place and if this is the way you like it, go for it. I'm sure I'll be checking back in as I can. This is as good a time as any to say this (I wasn't going to say anything at all but here it is...)

    I have no objections.

    Or affirmations for that matter.

I seldom give a neg rep and if I disagree with someone, I usually just post.

The funny thing about :repwhine: is that it exists wherever you think it exists.

P.S.: I'd rather just leave the system as-is, but it's Lanzman's board and if he wants to do this then so be it.

I also wonder what brought about the desire to change things.

And to reset everyone's rep back? Again, why the change?

Of course, in the end, it is your board, and you can do what you wish. But if this is a way to stop whiners from complaining about the red hole they've dug themselves into ... For many they're red for a reason.

No opinion either for or against this.

Therefore, "go for it", I say.

I don't see the need to change the rep system. So a few whiners are whining.....

They will just find something else to whine about after you make the change.

Judging by Sokar's whinefest thread in the Red Room, this can only have positive results if implimented.

"If it were mine to make the change, I think I'd let it be..."

But I'm not going to make a big stink about it, either. I don't think it's all that good of an idea, but it's not the end of the world, or the end of Wordforge (which is actually the same thing...).
