I would just like to point out that we done France twice (in real competition) and tonight, playing our second string, we got a creditable draw with the Croatians that pumped England out of the Euro 2008 section. :?:

    We'll always have Paris.

David Beckham's 100th appearance for England,
    should be his last.

The line-ups offered by Capello in each half,
    had little chance of scoring.

Time for England to start playing some football.

No, he likes teams that win, which for England is not such a bad thing IMO.

That was just awful. Capello = Sven mark II. Some of those selections were just shocking. What's Theo doing in the squad but no Defoe??? More than a quarter of the players picked in that squad have done absolutely nothing in the last few months to justify a place in the squad, including Downing, Bridge, Hargreaves, Crouch, Owen, Walcott, and "fashion icon"/part-time footballer, David Beckham. And the decision to appoint a thick, duck faced twat like Rio was bizarre in the extreme. :jayzus:

Capello has supposedly always had a policy of rotating the captaincy around in friendlies. When you think of it, rio has to now be considered a senior member of the squad, he's been playing some of his best football the last few months, and capello probably doesn't speak enough english yet to recognise that rio is the a-typical footballer with not much between the ears.

At the far end of the table:

Soon to be relegated Colchester shocked Ipswich 2-0.
Bolton lost to Aston Villa 4-0, and are going down.
Same for Fulham, after losing to Sunderland 3-1.

    In Scotland:

Motherwell beat Celtic 1-0, and moved into third place.

    In Europe

Arsenal visit Liverpool on Tuesday night.
Chelsea have some work to do.

Liverpool are destined to reach the final again. Everybody knows it. ;)
Liverpool vs ManUre in Moscow. Liverpool to win. :yes2:

A fantastic bonus would be getting the yanks out of Anfield (no offence, Cobalt :D ) AND Parry gone too.

I doubt it. He wouldn't be the worst replacement should Rafa leave mind...

And what do you make of the 100+ points difference between us in the Wordforge League? Only Cobalt can possibly catch me now, fat chance of me slipping up now though. Maybe DIC should hire me instead... :?:

I expect Liverpool and Man United to advance to the final,
and I think that Liverpool could win it.

United have a problem in the center of mid-field.
I understand that Scholes was not effective against Arsenal.
They need to throw Anderson in there, and see what he can do.

You actually paid to go on that Camp Nou tour? I saw the prices and said "Bugger that, I'm going to the Sagrada Família."

Having done both I would say that the Camp Nou tour was worth it. The problem I had was that Barca had a game the night before which I could have gotten tickets for, but didn't assuming the other half would maintain her well publicised hatred of football. However, when I mentioned it as we went round the stadium she said "why didn't you tell me, we could have gone". Bloody women for you.... :bang:

I did the stadium and Sagrada Familia, Cathedral is exceptional to look at from the outside, but 8euros to walk around a building site is a rip off. Nou Camp tour and museum is far more value for money.

Oh and I never paid for that picture. Its 13euros for it, as soon as the guy put his head down into the camera to take the picture, the stallioness took the snap. :techman:

I've never seen anyone want the ground to open up and swallow them more than John Arne Riise ....
He decided early on to head it, then forgot to change his mind as the ball got lower and lower...

That was depressing. Chelsea should have beaten out of sight so to concede a goal like that in a ludicrously extended period of added time is just so annoying. Knowing Liverpool's record at the Bridge, I'm not too confident of reaching the final now. Chelsea are not a great team though, even if they reach the final they'll never win it.

I don't care what those muppets had to say, that was one SHIT game of football, especially from ManUre who defended for their lives. At least Liverpool went to the Nou Camp last season (when Barca were a better team and the reigning European champs) and had a go, and beat them in their own backyard. All those pathetic mancs could do was get Ronaldo to dive for as many penalties as possible. Disgraceful display from both ManUre and Ronaldo.
Let's hope Barca can go through to the final now as they were the only team interested in playing last night.
