    The Barcelona line-up tonight included

    Zambrotta, Puyol, Abidal, Milito,
    Xavi, Deco, Iniesta,
    Messi and Eto'o.

With Henry coming on as a sub.

    And United beat them 1-0.

I still think that they will have tough time at Wigan.

Hyypia on for the injured Skrtel.
A tough assingment for the veteran defender.

Kalou races past the defense, gets to Lampard's pass, and shoots.
Reina saves, but Drogba is there to knock it in.

    Advantage Chelsea.

Tickets now going for £3k a pair, current estimates are upwards of 100,000 teddy bears going to Manchester a week on Wednesday, expect that figure to rise.

    Well, that's it.
The Premier League season is over.
Manchester United are Premier League Champions.

Play continues in Scotland, but Motherwell have
secured a place in the UEFA Cup.
They will play in Europe for the first time since 1995.

Camren is the winner of the Wordforge Fantasy League,
    by a comfortable margin.
He finishes in the top 5% of teams, worldwide.

    Good job, Camren!!!

    YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yesterdays atmosphere was mental!!

We'r all going on a European tour!

For a team fighting relegation last year, loseing top striker scott McDonald to celtic in the summer, a team which was in administration a few years ago, a team which lost it's captain in the most tragic of circumstances few months back, and a team which has had to put up with a quagmire tattie field of a pitch, this is unbelievable! To do it with 2 games left to play is even better!

    Come on ye 'well!!

Disappointing end to the season, what with those crooked shower of shite from Manchester winning the league, with their countless dodgy penalties and other disgraceful decisions going their way, no surprise they managed to win it again.
Let's just hope those other bunch of scoundrels from west London can do them over in the European Cup final.

Congrats to myself for winning the Wordforge League for the first time! :yes2:
Props to Cobalt for a valiant attempt to take yet another title, but Leyton's finest would not be denied. ;)

Got to disagree there, as much fun as it is to hate the scum they deserved the league. They played the best footy and scored the most goals

Think todays game summed up ManUre and the favourtism they get from refs. Rooney gets an incredibly soft penalty, Scholes should have been sent off but was allowed to stay on, Wigan denied a clear penalty from Ferdiand's handball etc. These are not minor decisions, they win you games and titles and IMO ManUre get them all the time.

    Ladies,

I was part of the blue invasion in Manchester yesterday, my rangers supporting mates had hired a mini bus and there was a spare seat so I tagged along.

Fuck me, never saw as many fans in the one place as that before, estimates of between 120-200,000 people.

Absolutley jumping and for the main a carnival atmosphere. When you think about it, 50 arrests from 150,000 people is proportionally tiny. Still, i hope the scum bags who started throwing glass bottles accross crowds of 20,000 people are identified and locked up.

The trouble flared in the Picadilly Gardens fan zone, basically the one closest to the station which harboured the most drunk and unimaginitve rangers fans who got there and never moved. I went in it at lunchtime and it was bedlam, thought fuck that. I watched the game in the third zone, cathedral gardens or something like that, packed but not as bad and it seemed a better calibre of person in there.

I honestly never saw any trouble or violence at all, however I did see a huge number (if not proportion) of grade A scum bags who would be more than capable of starting serious trouble. And on my walk back from the cathedral zone to Picadilly station I saw the riot police had a road blocked off, never knew anything about the chaos though until this morning.

I actually had a great day, except for the result.

glad you had fun and stayed out of trouble.
Pity about the result :( I just think Rangers didn't quite have the imagination to break down Zenit

In truth they have been rideing their luck in this UEFA cup run. Apparantly Smith has been given a war chest in the summer so they may have a style change in the summer.

Oh and the maddest thing about the trouble?
When the screen broke down in picadilly gardens they sent some techs in to fix it, and some of the biggest dickheads started throwing bottles at the techs so they had to withdraw.
What kinda logic is that, your pissed because the screen stops working, so you take it out on the guys who have arrived to fix it.....

Rangers were planning on holding a bus parade today to 'celebrate' reaching the final.
But they've cancelled due to the passing of Tommy Burns.
    R.I.P, Tommy. :(

Tommy was a great bloke, you never hear a bad word against him in Glasgow and that is very surprising given how involved he has always been with one half of the old firm. I would imagine the only other person comparable who would be loved and respected by both halves is McCoist.

RIP Tommy, never heard a bad word about the man.

I met him once, maybe 6-7 years ago, he was on the same plane as me and two of my mates to Tenerife.

3 of us, those two with their rangers tops on and me sporting the claret and amber. It didnt bother him, he had time to have a laugh with us all. He was sitting up near the back of the plane so everytime we went to the toilet we passed him. He never got angry or implite, even by the end of the journey when we were all wrecked passing him saying...... 'awrite tommmmmmyyyyyyyyy'

Just a nice reply with a laugh, 'awrite lads'.

A sad loss and a very nice man.

Oh and the more reports and now cctv footage i see of yesterday makes me realise how lucky I was to get out of there. Absolute scum bag behaviour on show.

Manchester did not have the ability to deal with what is now reportedly 200,000 people arriving in one day, and the fact that it was so close to Glasgow meant every fucking trogladyte, chav, ned scumbag could easily get there and afford too just made it a recipe for disaster.

Picture 195,000 football fans, not exactly the nicest thought, and add 5000 of the dregs of society.

    Giggs on for Scholes.
He breaks Bobby Charlton's appearance record for United.

    Extra Time.

    All over in Moscow.
United win the Champions League Final on penalties.

    Great season for United.

Great job by Avram Grant to keep Chelsea in it.

I was quite pleased at the result, aside from the fact I hate watching Chelsea, it was nice to see a countries champions win the champions league for a change, rather than a lucky cup team....... eh camren. ;)
