Why anybody would want to see Chelsea succeed is beyond me. :jayzus: Mourinho is not the man that is mainly reponsible for Chelsea's recent success - Abramovich is.

you know he's only mates with Jol because he isnt a threat. If spurs were to get good, he'd get the same treatment from Jose as Fergie, Wenger and Benitez get.

pure sour grapes - mourinho has shown his skills at porto where had nowhere near the amount of money and still won 6 cups, including two portugese league titles, the UEFA cup and the champions league.

and dan, your mentioning of real madrids buying policy simply proves the point that money alone isn't a factor, but who you buy and how you play them.

other than shevchenko, mourinho has picked what players to buy and has picked the ones he thinks will play together rather than galacticos.

after all, how well did ranieri do with romans billions?

anyone with an ounce of footballing knowledge has to acknowledge his ability.

Rafa would win every trophy going had he spent the same amount Mourinho had spent at Chelsea. ;)
There is nothing to get excited about with Chelsea. They're a billionaire's plaything, Roman fancied getting his hands on the Premiership and as with everything else in life, he goes out and buys it. What's so admirable in that?
Any half-decent manager would have won what Mourinho's won at Chelsea. As for Ranieri...well he was in a ludicrous situation since his head was on the chopping block the moment Abramovich moved in. Roman and Kenyon were buying all these players, whether Claudio wanted them or not! It was obvious even while Ranieri was in his last season that the club were buying up players for the next manager in waiting.

    :chris:

Except for the rather significant contributions of Alonso and Luis Garcia to that campaign...

aaaaaaaand liverpool lost to man ure in the FA youth cup home tie.

looks like the closest thing liverpool fans will get to a cup this season is all those mugs thinking they'll be getting a champions league final spot :chili:

On Saturday, Championship leaders Sunderland visit Colchester.

To the team that finished last in the Premiership, Sunderland have added
Dwight Yorke, Carlos Edwards and manager Roy Keane.

Colchester need a win to stay in the play-off race.

In the Wordforge league, we have a three way battle for fifth place,
and PGT is making a run at second.

Keane has done bloody well, but he had plenty of cash to splash around.
If George doesn't win Championship manager of the year there's no justice, given what everyone was predicting for us and the fact that he's spent about £20. :diacanu:

    Burnley have beaten West Brom.

    In Fantasy Football, Ecky has moved into the top 2,600;
out of 1.26 million teams worldwide.

For the month of April, PGT is ranked in the top 4,000 teams.
He has now a single point out of second place in the Wordforge League.

well, big sams leaving bolton :(

i can't blame him in some respects, as despite boltons success they still get looked down on as a small club, and i think the players have let him down a bit this season - we've had about 3 blips which would've allowed us to be in a champions league position and would've got him to stay.

i can see him moving to man city or newcastle now.

    ^Yeah, but now we're 3-1 down and down to 10 men :(.
Ah well, at the start of the season we were hoping to finish 21st. The boys have done brilliantly, and we're proud of them.
