If you want to troll, try doing it in one of the trolling-accepted rooms.

Why not start a red room thread instead of trol---er--I mean expressing your concerns here?

It is on topic if I'm not mistaken. JCD and I were discussing my thought that he is a prime example of gun nuttiness.

If you want to attack my gun nuttiness (which wasn't an issue until you brought it up), do it in the Red Room.

It's a Sharpie. I just stuck it in there to prop the gun up.

Personally I think all officers should have engaged, lockable trigger guards on their guns when on duty.

Its the only way to make sure that nobody has an accidental discharge.

    :wtf:

Negligent and Accidental Discharges have been around as long as guns have been around and they will be around for as long as guns are around. However, I assure you, with absolute confidence that you will never have a Negligent Discharge if you follow the four rules of gun safety all the time every time.

Point of order that I can't get around:

If it is the law that everyone has to be armed all the time, how does the one (or more, I forget) officer get around leaving his gun in his desk while ON duty (nevermind off duty)?

    He shouldn't.

I think you missed the sarcasm.

In any event, I agree with you. ;)

It's not a law. It's a regulation. I know you're well aware of the subtle difference.

Now, with that said, he just doesn't want to do it and the only person that can make him is the Chief and he doesn't care enough to rock the boat.

He outranks me. There's nothing I can do. :clyde:

But, if you want to get into someone blatantly breaking the law and my hands being tied where I literally can not do anything about it, well, just ask. :calli:

No, not really. AR "pistols" have never done anything for me.

When buying a gun, I have to be able to justify it to myself. It has to fall into one of two categories. I have to be able to use it for work (and self-defense) or hunting.

Can't use it at work and there are far, far better alternatives out there for pistol hunting.

OH! How about that Taurus Judge? Holdout revolver that can be loaded with either .45 Colt or .410 shotshells.

Or, even though you've said AR pistols don't do it for you, there's the Kel-Tek .223 pistol (fifth item on the page). For $488 you can pretend to be Han Solo or something.

I saw the Judge used on the Box-O'-Truth website. Looks like it be pretty darn handy for snakes while on a camping trip or hiking.

And it doesn't look nearly as dorky as the old Thunder Five pistols did.
