Can we rig something where every time he dismisses an argument as "bullshit rationalizing" or "bullshit bingo" without backing it up with anything, 500 points blast off his rep score? That'd be neat.
1. You just state this by fiat. 2. You're not a Vulcan yourself. Even if you were even close, a preference for logic is itself an emotional choice. The only minds that have no emotions belong to computers, and they're dead.
Interesting - I would say parents have just as much, if not more training (in terms of on the job training) but lack the oversight Question - how many kids are in your kids' class? One of my kids has 29 ankle biters in his class. I can't even wrap my head around managing and understanding 29 kids and their thoughts and emotions, on top of making sure that they learn! It does make me wonder how well or how much to the best of their ability they can deal with any issues a student may have I suppose that's true, but there seems to be this overwhelming assertion that there are more bad parents than good, which is something I don't buy. Maybe in America there are? We also know that teachers abuse their positions too, I mean more teachers have diddled kids than the catholic church has but we don't talk about it, which is sad and shocking. Soooo..... Yeah I mean it's great to have kids learn from someone other than their parents - new and different perspectives are very important in a child's upbringing - but I've always viewed teachers as people who will help and augment positively here and there how my kids grow up rather than have a massive part of potential pivotal moments of their upbringing and profoundly influence them I was thinking a little about this and whenever a kid fucks up bad, people's first reaction like clockwork is "well he/she must have bad parents." When you're a teacher and have all this influence over children you never get blamed for shit. Must be nice!
hmm... you may need a citation for that more teachers are diddlers than priests... although a greater relevance might be found in contrasting parents to non parents among the diddler population? unless you're talking about private schools that aren't beholden to the public standard, I'd actually give the edge to the instructors there. FIguring also that a lot of teachers are parents, except that they have 5-10 years of educational credentials along with their practical experience and professional development, well... you and the mechanic both have cars, but which one of you knows more about how they run? who's going to spot the small problem before it becomes a big one?
BREAKING: At least 102 children as young as 13 were found working overnight shifts, using hazardous chemicals, and cleaning brisket saws at 13 plants in eight states. The U.S. Department of Labor has fined Packers Sanitation Services $1.5 million for these egregious violations. https://twitter.com/moreperfectus/status/1626643117376937985
In UA’s world a teacher using a kid’s pronouns is disruptive but a 14 year old showing up to school with chemical burns after working an all night shit is fine. "a 14-year-old child who worked at a Nebraska facility from 11pm to 5am...fell asleep in class and also missed class after suffering injuries as a result of chemical burns. Several other children were also reported to have suffered from chemical burns" https://twitter.com/afinla/status/1626715478419992576
I spent the last year talking to children who live with distant relatives or strangers and work illegal jobs. These are 12 and 13-year-olds who pay rent, take on overtime, and rarely get a weekend off. They’re part of a shadow work force that has exploded since the pandemic. https://twitter.com/hannahdreier/status/1629527507409022980 WHY WON’T ANYONE THINK OF THE PRONOUNS?!?!?!
Oh, look. A list of retailers and products you will all definitely continue visiting and purchasing. Fuck off with the sanctimonious posturing.
Stay mad Reply Guy. Also, go reread the OP to see why your post is non-sensible FF level petulant reaction.
Only ones on that list I'm not sure I don't buy from are Cheetos (if they make Doritos, and that's a VERY occasional purchase) and Wal-Mart, because those fuckers own/partner with UK supermarkets.
Sorry a bit late, been travelling, but here: https://sites.law.duq.edu/juris/201...eption-of-child-abuse-in-the-catholic-church/ It's not by much apparently, but it does make sense when you consider the sheer volume of people in public school vs church and that the church has allegedly cleaned up their act thanks to the massive amounts of money they've lost in lawsuits Also this post in no way changes my dearly held position that the Catholic Church should fuck off and die
I already don't buy any of that stuff... UA's running the gaslights, starting from a position of accusation as always. Cheers.. Yeah, a little surprised about the public system. Several of the guys I went to military school with, and a few from an alt. ed. afterwards have, ahem, stories... but there were fewer background checks on those instructors even then.
Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) signed into law this week legislation that rolls back significant portions of the state’s child labor protections. The law eliminates requirements for the state to verify the age of children younger than 16 before they can take a job. Sanders believes the provision was “burdensome and obsolete,” spokeswoman Alexa Henning said in an emailed statement. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/03/08/huckabee-sanders-arkansas-child-labor/
So you are old enough to work all night after school and serve alcohol to drunk adults, but you are way to young to understand about sex, gender, and racism. That makes a lot of sense. Shouldn't we be giving them guns too?
