Jenee and Async discuss a joke

I read this as him describing and attacking the different views rather than his endorsing it. Same as the pay for men and women who act.

I'm also remembering the early years of WF where every female poster was subjected to a certain... scrutiny... that had nothing to do with her posts. It's more subtle these days, but it's still ingrained in the language.

You're one of the people I was referring to in Post #43. Odd that she doesn't get upset about comments like this^, but you could learn a bit from Async about the difference between class and crass.

I've had Jenee on ignore for most of 2020, but she does snap at me when I respond to her nonsense, and every time we engage for more than a couple posts she directs all sorts of made up bullshit my way, like that I'm "the leftist version of a trumper," or that I'm "desperate for the approval of the right-wingers on the board."

I think part of the problem is posting from a phone. Never mind that autocorrect is more of a hindrance than a help, but the small screen and the apparent inability to research a topic under discussion (I wouldn't know; I don't use my phone for posting) provides a narrow field of vision in more ways than one.

There's also the inability to admit making a mistake. I screwed up in the SARS thread yesterday, double-checked my information, and admitted I was wrong. Some people can do that, some can't... even on a message board.

This thread became 86% less funny when the mods edited the thread title.

1. It spoke directly to the issue it hand.

2. It was a riff on one of the longest threads in WF history, started by a beloved poster.

3. You're all a bunch of anal-retentive, saggy-boobed, low-hanging ballsacks.

Yes, you aree right the joke towards women ageing and their breasts sagging has a mysogenistic tone that is hits directly on the sore spot of how women are perceived to become more ugly as they age. It is a huge problem witrh how society often ridecules older women and they have been spent their whole lives being judged on their youthful looks. These jokes become more offensive when made by men who have often spent large amounts of time judging women and oogling them on their looks, only to be disgusted when they age and are now considered offensive for a natural part of growing old.

OTOH assy is elderly, and I believe him in that aspect. A lot of old people find that having humor in the problems of age helps them cope with their bodies who are betraying them. Yes, women's breasts sag, but you do have to remember his old shriveled dick is probably well beyond spitting out dust when he jerks off. It probably just looiks at him with the flesh sagging over it's one good eye, and wonders why he is tugging on the thing in another futile attempt to orgasm one last time before he kicks this mortal coil. His arthritic arm and hands probably have trouble with more than four jerks per minute, and if he ever did get above that his heart would explode like an old tire on the hot pavement.

We all get old, and he is going to die soon. His associations with what is offensive were formed a long time ago when things were different. Changing them now to reflect the sins of his youtrh is an effort in futility. You should mention it because younger people should recognize how shiutty it is to rate a person based on their youthful beauty and then to ridecule them on the inevitable changes in age. It was always a problem with mysogeny to base a woman's worth on attractive standards that cannot be maintained, and when we look at the horrors women do to themselves to retain their youth it shows the dysfunctional effects of the sexist abuse we put on them all of their lives. But assy is not going to change, and hopefully younger people will wake up to the probl;ems of rating women on their looks over what they are to our society. The only end to it with old men is their demise.

When people tell you to not take it so personally it is only because the world sucks and you cannot teach an old man to be a decent person. Just smack him for being an old asshole and I am sorry the world sucks and will never change, so when you are done with beating him up do not take his bullshit to heart.
