So it's OK to practice smoking weed and driving one handed while you're still a newbie? Yeah. That's the kind of executive thinking pot grants you.
No....it's okay to practice smoking and it's okay to practice driving;when you're a newbie at both you do it separately. When you got it down pat just do what you're comfortable with. I'm still practicing. Won't do the other till I get good.
I'm just trying to make sense of the drivel you're spouting. post 9 post 30 you agreed with Mrs A that, while it took lots and lots of practice and exposure to build up a tolerance, pot wasn't as bad as other drugs when you were driving. Sounds like you do smoke joints while driving and have been doing it for a long time.
Personally, I"m not into drugs but you definitely shouldn't mix the two. Mewa has pretty much admitted to doing so, though.
Well, no fucking shit! How much did this study cost the American tax payer? We all need to start asking this.
Good point. Let me expound from my corner of the fishbowl (military life): because alcohol is legal in the military, you have shit loads of people doing bat-shit-crazy violent stupid dangerous things all weekend. Then on Monday morning they can function (barely) but what can you do, because their blood alcohol level is under the limit. Now the folks who smoke weed (even a tiny bit) might be the most productive, mature, responsible and level-headed - but if we have a random piss test in two weeks their career comes to a screeching halt. But you can be a RAGING alcoholic and the military will bend over backwards to get you the help you need, and not kick you out. 99 percent of the military will admit the rules are hypocritical and counterproductive, but until things are legally + officially changed, there isn't shit you can do about it. I have seen much, much more tragedy as a result of alcohol abuse versus weed or even coke. IMO why half-step it? If alcohol is a proven dangerous drug, make it incompatible with the military, period. Tobacco too....that shit has no benefit to human health.
Squares who start threads about weed.......sheeeeesh!! Hey, Cornpone...I smoked weed in my Mom's car when I was 16. Put that in ya pipe and smoke it!!!
Here's Skin's theory. And although the pot-heads may not appreciate it all that terribly much, it's the truth: If you claim that you can get high on pot and then drive, you got fucking ripped off. If that shit does not fuck you up too hardcore to then drive? You got some weak shit. So fuck off with that jive. Skin don't wanna hear it. If you smoke up and then don't turn into a couch-planted god damned vegetable, you wasted your money. If you didn't waste your money, stay the fuck out from behind the wheel, you retarded shit.
I agree. But, how? You know I'm pro-legalization. However, we're going to have to put a system in place. The only way I know to objectively measure impairment of marijuana is a blood test, and there are very serious Constitutional ramifications with taking a blood sample without a Court Order. Why not a field sobriety test? They're great at establishing probable cause to allow for a more detailed test, but I don't put a lot of stock in arresting someone based on a FST alone. A lot of factors can go into them. Time and weather conditions. General fatigue. Suspect nervousness because this is the first time they've ever been pulled over, etc. For instance, part of our test is saying the Alphabet backwards. Hell, I can't even do that without going through each letter manually.
And someone who knocks back a six pack every night can operate much better after a couple of beers than a teetotaler who has had their first sniff of gin. Also in favor of abolishing alcohol blood concentration limits since it picks up people who could be safe to drive?
Agreed. If anything it's the other way around, drunk folks think they're fine, while high folks know they're not.
A practical consideration yet the freedom to use marijuana shouldn't depend upon law enforcement's ability to accurately determine just how high a motorist might be. Yeah the FST always seemed more like a random public shaming than any legitimate test of sobriety.
After 30 years-more like this is just my natural state of being. I suspect it has more to do with despite Skin's fat ass, Skin is a light weight.
Another mug who doesn't smoke weed. Most people don't smoke weed to get totally blown out. Its the mellow high. But Skin's statement tell me that he doesn't know much about weed.
Incidentally, this discussion y'all are having about how to effectively measure impairment is precisely why pot isn't legal.
Most people don't smoke weed to get totally blown out? Maybe you don't. Skin does. Everyone Skin knows who smokes it does. Everyone Skin's ever even heard of, other than you, who smokes it does. If it don't fuck you up, you're either a pussy or a noob who got gypped.
Is angel dust green and nuggety and sticky? Skin only smokes marijuana and cigarettes, and the marijuana very, very rarely. But if you'd like to flash us some expertise on angel dust, go right ahead.
Dust gets you where YOU wanna be when smoking weed. You know, getting your moneys worth and being fucking blotto!
Meanwhile, as they admit, they just live in a constant state of stoned-ness no matter what they're doing. But it's all right everyone. They know what they're doing. You don't have to worry about yourself, your kids, your family, or your stuff. Just leave it all to them.
