Took the dog out for a late night walk. And like I usually do, I take an LED flashlight with me so I can see the road/ground, and so cars see me. Was walking back into the house when the flashlight let me catch a glimpse of something green and brown on the steps. Didn't think much of it until I realized it was a bright green, too bright to be a leaf. Took a closer look and this is what I saw. I cropped the pics in to fight better. It did freak me out for a moment until I realized what I saw. I see them flying around all the time, and I'll find their old moltings once in a while, this is the first time I've seen one as it was molting.
I saw a video of a large spider moulting, and it was simultaneously compelling and disturbing. This isn't it, but it's almost as good...
Tough to get that light blue right. I've got color match numbers somewhere from when they analyzed the model at the Smithsonian.
I've looked at the suggested color mixings and realized that I'm not that skilled so I just found what I accept as the closest match and went with it. I'm not even doing it as a pure 2nd pilot version. I decided to take the elements of the 2nd pilot and production versions of the ship that I like and making it custom with that.
Not your hobo gear? Bullshit, you are about to steal any socks he might have! Don Johnson just called - he wants his Miami Vice "no socks" look back. BTW I had an army buddy who had red sneakers just like those. They actually implicated him in a photo taken of him committing a crime in Korea, because as soon as everyone saw the photo (they couldn't see his face clearly) but everyone recognized those red sneakers and knew who it was!
Finally we have some summer like weather... Barbette (on my left) has been taking daily group shots with the Market folks since forever... B-Bob, to my right, is one of the first class of Toronto punks from back in the 70s... now he's in his 70s!
How the hell do you flip your car in a bottleneck that never goes faster than human trotting speed?? I bet this guy tried to pass everyone on the shoulder and then tried to jam back in.
amazing! I saw something very similar in Korea when a bus crashed into a brick wall at a 90 degree angle (straight on in other words) on a narrow street where you would have to perform a five point turn to get the bus pointed that way!
