What really irks me in this whole affair is Trump's pettiness. He just can't stop attacking Obama. He also can't stop going after Schwarzenegger. Kindergarten kids are less unforgiving. Right now that makes him a laughing stock. But how will this character trait work out once he has to go international? His domestic 'enemies' are wearing kid gloves. China, Russia, Iran, NK and even the EU won't. Only May will continue to crawl up his rectum because without the US the UK's future is rather bleak. A man of format would have ordered a quiet investigation and come out with results instead of unsubstantiated accusations copied from a garden variety of right wing conspiracy rags. He should stand above the Reality Distortion Field. He's in maybe the only position inside the government with access to absolutely everything. But he can't. He knows both Obama and Arnold are greater men than him so he'll continue to attack them like that fat kid nobody wants to play with. (And yes I know there was wiretapping. Several ex-presidents remained active in both politics and public life. Both John Quincy Adams and Andrew Johnson served in Congress following their presidencies. Teddy Roosevelt, Martin Van Buren, and Millard Fillmore each ran for president each just a few years after having already left office. Roosevelt remained fairly active in public life until his death. After William Howard Taft's presidency, Taft served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court until his death. Both Nixon and Truman remained fairly active in public affairs, Nixon even wrote some books after his presidency.
Not seeing a scandal here. At least, not yet. If we assume that the rumours (yes, rumours) are true that the Obama administration set up wires on the Trump campaign, it would depend on the context. If, as already proven, there was Russian interference in the election, the government was well within its rights to protect American interests by conducting surveillance and gathering intelligence. If, as yet unproven, it was because the Obama administration wanted to undermine Trump's campaign, that's a whole other ballgame. But given recent history, I'm going to go with Door Number One and guess that there were serious and credible concerns about national security.

The irony is that Donny can't tell the difference between a wiretap (sooo 1960s) and a server: The two articles say that US intelligence officials went to the FISA court (which deals with intelligence matters) because they wanted to investigate possible activity between two banks in Russia and a computer server in Trump Tower (which, to make matters more confusing, might actually be located in Philadelphia).
