Don't you have one? What, did somebody put me in charge of a "remedial personhood" class this morning?

    Burden shifting.

    Nice try.

So why aren't you doing that vis-a-vis the ACA?

There's no burden shifting going on there. The definitions for both the words I used are in the dictionary. My substantiation has already been made, it is extant, it is readily accessible to all and sundry.

Garamet wants to challenge in it on... some level. Presumably. She needs to offer alternate definitions that support a view which opposes my own. That's for her to do.

Because I refuse to use any system that puts a government gun to anyone's head.

But is THE dictionary in sync with YOUR internal dictionary?

    I have doubts about this.
    Please allay them.

If you don't, I will assume the absolute worst.

I'm not using any "internal" dictionary. I'm using THE dictionary.

It doesn't matter whether or not they disagree. The language of the Tenth Amendment is not unclear; it's not open to interpretation. The ability to mandate commercial transactions was never a right bestowed on the Federal government; it does not have that right. That makes the mandates of Obamacare unconstitutional, and therefore void and illegal.

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States

And when Obamacare was originally peddled to us, it was cast as being not a tax. So, y'know what? It's not a tax. That's how they sold it, that's what it stays.

And, no, a court which is in thrall to the corrupt Federal government is not acceptable as a protector to a corrupt Federal government.

For one thing, driving isn't a Constitutionally protected right, like living is.

For another thing, nowhere in the Constitution is it granted to anyone the power to tax your mobility. That's a special perk the government assigned to itself, with zero authority to do so.

Your right, because CARS were not invented yet. How can you tax a horse and buggy? Your talking about a document written 200+ years ago, If you got sick back then you most likely DIED. You didn't need insurance, cause there was no such thing.

Great. It would have been a whole lot easier had you said that. Without reading your mind, there's no way to gather that from what you've posted. I'm glad you're here, but let me give you a tip. The vast majority of us have been together for between 10-13 years. I know what these guys are going to say before they say it.

You're an unknown to us. You need to be very deliberate about what you say here unless you want to spend a lot of your time frustrated and qualifying your remarks.

You have to have car insurance in Ohio even if you don't drive or own a car?! That sucks. I'm never moving there. :marathon:
