One of my favorite things is people who can't do math. People, who will, for example, put something worth 83,000 credits on the market for 25K... especially when I have one I want to sell myself and the prevailing price is too low. Buy a few at 25k and even if you just send them to the replicator for energy credits you're making 8k a pop.
Oh, one damned time, and that's because I get impatient waiting for you fucking school bus cruisers to decide where you're going and get yourselves turned in a clear direction to follow. Now that I know what must be done, I don't need to wait. I can skip straight to trying for the objectives while n00bs in rainbow cruisers bork the fucking mission.
So anyone bother with the First Contact event and the non-combat pet replica of the Phoenix? I can't seem to make myself care.
Fuck that. What's the shizzle on these new Jem Haadar sets? Are they worth it for any other reason than completeness?
The secret to the Odysseey just hit me: with massive crew, you have massive hull repair rate. The secret is the biofunction monitor. Lose your crew... and that's when you die.
The Borg set consists of 4 pieces, but the shields are unimpressive and the bonus you get for all 4 pieces (a tractor beam) is kinda lame. BUT, if you just run the deflector, subtranswarp engine, and the assimilated module, you get a warp 14 baseline in sector space (that's before any skill points spent on driver coil), autonomous regeneration sequencer (a chance at a continiuous hull regeneration for a short period), and multi-regenerative shielding (a chance at a shield regeneration bonus if one grid drops below 20%, works with ANY shield array.) So what I (and a lot of other people) do is run 3 of the 4 pieces, and then play around with different shield arrays. I find the MK XII MACO shield is best against the borg because of it's bonus plasma damage resistance, but I'm not convinced it's better than the Aegis shield anywhere else.
So, got my Phoenix "pet." It's sure as hell not to scale if the cockpit at the end is four meters, next to my ship with a crew of 50 in it. And of course, it shouldn't be able to follow me around past warp 1, or at impulse at all. Utopia Planetia was kinda cool, I guess, but they need to do more with it.
I got my Phoenix pet, and will store it away in the bank with the other useless pets. My ship got it's ass kicked repeatedly today, and part of it was because it turned like an old Lincoln Continental. Also, I wish the spamming of the aceton shit by KDF carriers would stop. Some of these carriers drop 10-20 of them at a time, and they just drain everything, even if you have power insulators. What's worse is the indestructible BoPs and it's pissing me off. They've completely fucked up PvP.
I got blown the hell up repeatedly in Infected Space Elite last night, because I was teamed up with this useless bunch of asstards who refused to wait to get the nanite generators all down to 10% so we could blow them all at once and kill the nanite transformers quickly. So, of course we get fucking swamped with endless waves of spheres which-suprise, suprise-this brain trust wasn't at all efficient at killing. We eventually got them pushed back long enough to get the job done, but it took fucking FOREVER.
It was a really neat map and it probably took a lot of time to create. It's a shame it was a total waste of time because we'll never visit it again. Yeah. I got the TOS shuttle when I bought the set. I got the Delta Flyer when I crafted the Delta Flyer. Then, back when they were having the free grab-bags during the Christmas season, I got the Runabout and Gekli. So, I tossed them all on there yesterday for shits and giggles...until I realized how ridiculous it looked. Okay, I'm going to have to go read the patch notes now.
What a different teamwork makes. I went 2 for 5 in PvP Arena matches last night. In both instances where I was on the winning team, the team leader would designate a target and everyone would focus on that target until it was destroyed. You'd only shift to cross heal. The other three matches were just chaos. No one stepped to up lead, so I tried, and was ignored. For someone who hasn't done any PvP in six months, I felt like I put up pretty good numbers. I was averaging right around 500,000 damage and 900,000 heals. In five matches, I was killed three times total and two of those were in a FvK match where the Klinks just rolled us.
Having multiple characters is great. But, I find that I only have time for one of them. That is, I have a limited time to play, so I should focus on one character and put my efforts into that one character. But, which one? My primary Human Engineer (VA50)? I love the Engineer's survivability, but I'm getting tired of the Cruiser play style. My Human Tactical (VA50)? A possibility, but a long row to hoe. I never made it to Ambassador pre-F2P and I've never even done one Doff mission with this character. I'm also growing tired of the Defiant's glass jaw. While I prefer the Defiant's aesthetics over the Fleet Escort, I'd gladly trade the Defiant's Ensign Tac for the Fleet Escort's Ensign Engineer. My Human Science Officer (LT5)? I really don't feel like going through the Fed's leveling grind again. Yeah, I know it's a lot faster than it used to be, but this will be the fourth time I've done it. My Klingon Engineer (LTG50)? A very real possibility. I've got a good ship (Vorcha-R) and good gear. I'm also fairly far along on the Doff stuff. Opening up the Sirius Sector Block would make my life a lot easier. But, going full Klingon would seperate me from a lot of you guys, which are really the only people I play with. My Klingon Tac (CAP31)? Four words. Battle Cloak is AWESOME! I could totally see myself jumping into this character and sticking with her. But, again, I'd feel even more cut off from everyone.
Tell you what though. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I bought the Odyssey Tactical Cruiser. I'm...digging it majorly.
What sucks is the R&D process. Why stop at MK XI rare stuff? I wanna m ak mk xii VERY FREAKING RARE stuff. :|
What's the ground skill that allows you to create two copies of your captain? I thought it was a Tac skill but I've seen Sci and Eng characters use it in the last couple of days.
It's the orb of something skill, I forget what's it called but you get it for completing a mission on Bajor.
The item is the Shard of Possibilities. It is bind on pickup though. Booo! I have one, and I'd send it to you if I could. The dilithium exchange is going NUTS! 310:1 is the lowest point ratio you can get right now. That means that if you max out your dilithium points each day (hard) it would take 8.5 days JUST to get a duty officer pack.
