I don't understand the exchange sometimes. I buy and sell mystery boxes to make a profit. If you look them up "any quality" right now they're selling 39k. Look them up "Rare" and they're selling 50K... but they're all rare. What gives? Broken, says me.
I dump all my Cardassian/Ferengi lock boxes in the fleet bank, if anyone cares about that crap. They're not getting money out of me to open the stupid things.
I don't get anything for them. I don't sell them. I don't dick with them at all. I just throw them in the fleet bank rather than just discarding them right away.
I had a purple box and opened it - turned out to be a Ferengi cruiser. I wish I'd realized it was unbound and I'd have sold the fucker.
Made vice-admiral (50) about 2 weeks ago, but haven't had time to play lately. Other than advancement in rank, what else do you get. And do you not get a new ship, but instead have to buy them?
A good friend gave them to me. When he first reached VA, he ran out of credits, and I outfitted his entire ship in purples. He wanted to pay me back for doing that.
I'd like to know where people are getting shit like Mk XII very rare Antiproton Mag Regulators to post them on the exchange.
I'll be playing tonight from about 2000 CDST until... What I'm doing will depend on my mood. But, if someone wants to team up and do a few STF's/PVP dailies, I'm down for that. I will be consuming mass quantities of bourbon.
Liquored up Elwood went for a smoke and never came back. I'm two Mk XII MACO shields away from having all three of my Admiral Defiants set up exactly how I want. Seems like I never see the STF loot drops to buy them anymore. Meanwhile, each of my Admirals has a pimped out shuttle set up just the way I like. Had plenty of those Encrypted Data chips to buy them their own Borg engines and deflectors, so I repeated Assimilation once more per character to get the console. All three get the Mk XI Reman Prototype Covariant Shield and Neutronium Hull Plating, plus a Phaser Relay in the only Tac console slot. For weapons, they all get a Mk XI Dual Phaser Beam Bank with a [Dmg]x3 modifier and Mk XI Quantum Torpedo Launcher with [Dmg]x2 and a crit bonus. One Danube and two Captain's Yachts. No huge difference other than the Yachts having two device slots for some batteries. We should see how many we can get together for some kind of fleet shuttle event. I need something to do with these damn things. Also thinking about rolling another character. I'm thinking a female Engineer.
Started my fourth Fed character last night. A female Engineer named Yosaphbridge. Since you can now skip the tutorials, I didn't even have to fly the entry-level Miranda one time before collecting my trusty old C-store Connie and giving it a Red Matter Capacitor and an Enhanced Plasma Manifold out of an Oberth. Then the other Admirals bought her a bunch of equipment upgrades. Gonna keep doing it that way this time. Already got a stack of weapons and equipment ready in her bank for after her first promotion. Ships progression is gonna be: Connie-> refit Connie -> Excelsior -> Sao Paolo -> retrofit Defiant. There are no Rear Admiral escorts I like, so I'm not even going to bother with it. Just fly the Sao Paolo until I hit VA and get my endgame Defiant. So, if someone wants to invite Yosaphbridge@Hanover_Fiste into the fleet....
I'd send it to you, but I know of no way to transfer credits. If there's a way, I'll send you 500,000.
You notice how the dumbest cunts in the game, who never bring regenerators or components to STFs, are invariably tac officers? I'm running Infected ground non stop to get my final Mark XII kit and three times today it's gone tits up because of two tacs with multiple major and critical injuries being unable to clear drones because they die after a couple of seconds. Looking forward to my second warming for harsh language.
I don't dick around with ground STFs. I think the first and only one I attempted was Terradome. Too tedious. Too easy to completely hose. Fuck it. Yes, Terradome is a Special Task Force mission. It dates back to before you could just enter them as a "PVE" queueueue from any map location. Come to think of it, there was another one of those older types, but I can't remember the name.
