Last night, I got a D'kora ship pack opening some mystery boxes. No, I didn't buy them - master keys were just so stinking cheap that I bought 5. Listed for 82,000,000 EC's right now, the cheapest on available. So I'll end up profiting about 77,000,000 EC's on the sale when you factor in the other lame shindigs.

I guess then I'll probably do 10 master key's and recycle.

OK, anyone hear about the upcoming fleet built starbases? Supposedly they will require both DOFFs and BOFFs.

The clusterfuck of dipshits decided to merge the Cryptic and Perfect World accounts. Even trying to log into the forums requires you to create a PW account, and of course you can't just use the same username and password as the Cryptic account. It also rejects every new name I try to come up with. Doesn't tell me what's wrong with it, just "invalid."

Fucktards. Get your shit together. :shakefist:

Was able to log into the game OK at lunch, so they haven't tried to merge that login with some Perfect World bullshit. YET. :brood:

Hmmm. I have 6 rare mk xii phaser relays. The exchange isn't showing them. I could sell them for ~8 million ec each, or I could upgrade my mk xi rares to these, the mk xii rares.

    What to do?!

Cardassian lock boxes are now selling high - 78K a box! I'll wait till they hit 150K, probably - I have about 100 stored up.

No new information there. Just teasing us with repetition of known details without committing to a release date. They're saying "sometime in July," but I'll believe it when I see it.

Meanwhile, my female Engineer toon is approaching Vice Admiral. Been going as slow as possible with the episodic missions so any special equipment drops I want to keep are awarded at the VA level. The Reman shields, for example. I want a Mk XI set on all of my shuttles, and this time I don't want to be repeating "Coliseum". I also want to be able to make as many first runs at episodes as I can with my endgame ship, so I've done a lot of stuff like Red Alerts and "Explore..." grinding to level her up without checking off too many missions.

She's also got the fewest ships in her record of any of my admirals. Didn't bother keeping anything I don't intend to fly, and since I don't like any of the rear admiral escorts, I'm once again flying the captain-level refit Defiant until I rank up high enough to buy the retrofit Defiant. That's only 2 or 3 levels away now, but I might hold off until I have a full Mk XI loadout, complete with a change to Antiproton energy weapons (ran phasers all the way through up to this point.)

The fuck do you know from "lame," n00b? :garamet:

The Mk XI very rare weapons you craft or buy on the exchange have higher base damage than the Mk XII very rare stuff you buy with prototype Borg salvage drops from STF missions. In the case of energy weapons, the trade off is a small chance at bonus damage to Borg targets. Not worth it, in my humble opinion. Now, the bonus applies to every shot for torpedoes, so I do bother getting those, but after that all of my prototype salvage is spent on ground weapons, where the bonus also applies with every shot and there is no base damage penalty as a tradeoff.

So, the base line endgame loadout is Mk XI purple energy weapons, then Mk XII purple STF torpedoes, and if you're really lucky, the eventual Mk XII MACO shield. Then I'll move on to endless grinding to try and pick up the non-STF Mk XII purple gear at the insane prices on the Exchange. I'm talking 40-50 million energy credits for a single piece.

Ahem, I have MK XII rares and one MK XII very rare phaser relay :)

If you want a MK XII very rare phaser beam array, I have one for sale.

So I just read a secondhand rumor that the quad cannons you get with the Captain-level refit Defiant are being beefed up with the "season 6" update. They will supposedly now be superior to Mk XII purple dual cannons once you hit Vice Admiral.

Good thing I equip Antiproton weapons at VA. :brood:

Though I guess "better than dual cannons" isn't the same as saying "better than dual heavy cannons," but I suspect the DPS will be higher.

So everyone pumped to start grinding for dilithium literally up into the millions to build and upgrade fleet starbases?

I'm actually pumped. But I would like to be in WF's fleet for this... plus, PLUS - in DOFFJOBS they were saying if you leave a fleet you get to take your resources with you.

You will also need lots of BOFF'S. So start grinding them.

I just don't know about this. I just don't think the WF fleet can pull it off with just the three of us, but I really don't want to join another fleet.

But, yeah, my system pre-patched a huge file. Unless there's a last minute problem, I'd wager Season 6 is going live Thursday.

Where is this legendary WF fleet, I joined a fleet but really don't do much of anything with them. I've upgraded a few weapons and consoles with them, or anything else that I can use.

I don't even remember what our fleet is called, and I have never invited anyone into it. I do know that the bank is filled with crap nobody wants, and none of us wants to spring for more inventory space.

I just thought of it. I need to go through that. My Klink Tac just made Brigadier General. If there are any Disruptors in there, I'm gonna grab them.

And season 6 "may or may not" release today. In other words, they're including it in the massive update, but they might not make it go live. It has been testing on the tribble server, supposedly.

Make sure to safe refugees (they are really going UP in the exchange); if you don't have them, run Support Colonization Efforts. Apparently the Federation is going to use them as slave labor to build the star bases? ;)

Secondly, save bridge officers, as they will be a huge part of starbase building.

    Finally, save DILITHIUM.

I wish Chaos Descending, Talk, and others would come back so we could get a Wordforge fleet going.

It's live. I was able to log on at the third attempt but the server isn't responding.
I presume gold members won't encounter such problems.

I haven't played much in two months, except to log in and sell a few items. I've pretty much lost interest in it, it's gotten boring for me. Maybe because I haven't gotten into making credits or developing my character beyond the minimum needed to play the game.

I'm in, but everything is slow. There's a transwarp shortcut to your fleet location, a c-store item for building fleet ships (only briefly glanced at it) and at least two new PvE events.

I don't know how you guys are going to do it when it comes to Starbases. I'm in TrekBBS Armada, and there's a shitload of us, and after two days, we've managed to make it budge about 1%. We did get the shutters down, though, and you can see into space from the Ops deck. That cost 200,000 dilithium alone.

I don't know if you've looked around your base, but nothing except the Replicators, Watch Officer, and Weapons Officer work. Everything else from Operations officers down to the Bartender have to be upgraded. You can't even use the mail or bank system. You have to complete one full upgrade to the base to use the mail system, and like I said, after two days, we've made about 1% progress, and that's pouring Doffs, materials, dilithium, and Expertise at the thing.

They're going to milk this for everything.
