This is the scenario.

With anti-discrimination laws, and children's parents allowing children to be who they choose to be, teachers are no longer able to say "act like a boy" or "act like a girl". Those teachers want to be able to force children to behave a certain way.

This bill, effectively, allows those teachers to continue to behave badly. They can't tell the other students to quit picking on this child because this child does not conform to typical boy/girl behavior. Because the teacher is not allowed to say anything other than "he's a boy" or "she's a girl", the teacher is now allowed to be just as big of an asshole to small children as the other children are.

That is what this bill is all about.

No. It had to do with the fact that it wasn't anything serious, and I wasn't a combative pain in the ass about it.

I can name off at least two situations in my life in which a cop was involved that if I'd been black, I'd be dead. For months prior to joining the military, everyone I knew told me not to join, that my mouth would get me in trouble. I have always said I was lucky to have been assigned to the units that I'd been assigned to. I have seen people who were much more amiable than I ever was, get thrown out of the military - if they were lucky. I know several who ended up with article 15. So, a run in with a belligerent, knuckle dragging asshole cop would have had me killed if I wasn't white.

Also, my brother was arrested and in possession of both meth and a firearm. He never spent a day in jail, let alone prison.

And what do you prove by invoking that .00000001% of the population?

Anecdotes. Plenty of people of every variety interact with police and live to tell the tale. It could easily be argued that you benefitted at least as much from your gender as you did your pigmentation, but nobody wants to talk about that for some reason.

Why should a teacher not be able to explain to the other children that 'this' child does not fit into non-binary norms? That's just as easy and kids are a lot smart than most adults give them credit. Teacher isn't teaching anything other than "don't be an asshole. This child is different from you.".

Oh, I don't doubt my gender played a part as well. But, then, I've also seen cops drag a woman from her car because she had the audacity to ask why.
