The FBI director then says it most likely was a lab leak. Then the Department of Energy says the same thing. Chris Hayes then says there's a corneal of truth to the idea that the media was too quick to shut down the idea. Rand Paul says that cloth masks are not effective. Youtube suspended him. Facebook downthrottled a journalist who pushed back against masking kids. Something they initially said they didn't do. Now the media reports that masks make little difference. The media said the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian interference. Facebook suppressed the story. The media admits the NY Post story was true. Government pressured social media to ban posts. Then the Biden administration brushed it off like it was nothing.

The media "lied" about this thing, and this thing, therefore it lies about everything, therefore any conspiracy goes! So, yes, chaff.
Put aside the straw men and the victimhood. Please point to actual evidence that the Biden administration told social media that it should ban people for saying that Covid might have come from a lab. Either linking to things from the Twitter Files or anything with concrete evidence that the Biden administration called for such people to be banned. And to be clear, not just a video of someone saying that it's the case. Someone pointing to hard proof that specific people from the Biden Administration told Twitter, Facebook or anyone else to ban or even take down a claim for merely saying that Covid may have originated in a Chinese lab without some other issue (such as explicit racial slurs, doxxing, or breaking another term of service).

In his tweet that he put out, he mixed up CISA and CIS, but in his testimony to Congress he didn’t make that mistake. So he didn’t do it intentionally and he didn’t lie to congress, she’s just a partisan hack who’s literally weaponizing government. As for Clinton, I don’t believe I’ve said one thing about her running a sex trafficking ring out of a pizzeria in DC. I’m not sure where you got that from.

If the author of the Reason article were intent on being accurate, the headline would read "Democrat threatens Matt Taibibi with Jail TIme over Twitter Files testimony" since there is only one journalist who has come close to doing that. To the credit of the Reason writer, he linked to the letter she sent. But https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23784693-2023-04-13_sep_to_taibbi_redacted The Reason writer jumps to the conclusion that none of Taibibi's testimony could possibly be perjury. and maybe that's the correct conclusion. But I don't find anything in the congresswoman's letter problematic in the least.

Before Elon took over Twitter told many governments with requests/orders like this to fuck off and basically invited them to ban the whole site (which encourages people to use VPNs to get around government blocks entirely) Thankfully there is now the "free speech absolutist" in charge who does whatever they ask.
