This does not actually surprise me. I have a friend from up in that part of the state (right around Traverse City), and he is so far right I don't dare discuss politics with him. Racism is alive and well in the northern part of Michigan's Lower Peninsula (surprisingly, even more so than in the Upper Peninsula, though it's up there, too).

Nevertheless, according to what I read in the Detroit Free Press, he has agreed to resign.

The latest FB hysteria? (Don't ask me how these end up in my feed.) There have been two explosions in magnesium plants within the past couple of weeks - one in the States, another in Spain (IIRC).

The loonies have decided that "Magnesium is an ingredient in hydroxychloroquine, and librul doctors [Fauci implied] are blowing up these factories to cut off our supply!!!1!"

No point in trying to explain to those who Dr. Demon Sperm that magnesium's volatile, it's used in multiple products, and explosions have occurred worldwide for decades.

Should I tell these yobs to check their multivitamins, because if they contain magnesium they're at risk of their guts exploding? Nah, not worth it.



ETA: The other explosion was in Mexico, not Spain. And I couldn't resist jumping in on the "Coincidence? I THINK NOT!" thread, but politely.

I would like to blame the trump parade for that, but something tells me there is another cause. Maybe something like maintenance, age, or some sort of user malfunction. Unless there was a collision I did not see.

Wow, they got the neck fat and everything. One would have thought they might clean Trump up a bit for the tat.

I am surprisingly OK with this. It is their opinion, their body, and if they want to put that on them forever then who does it actually hurt? I would just consider the image a obvious warning of what that person is like. Thank him for doing that. I might have wasted time realizing I do not want you in my life in any way but seeing you in public.
