And not the shooter? If that's your view, there's really no point in addressing the rest of your post, even though you raise some very good points I'd love to address. Get back to me when you calm down. Read Post #2 before you do.
Remember when those two Cliven Bundy supporters killed a couple cops? Did you support drawing Bundy up for murder charges? Or FOX? Who did you hold accountable for the shooting in that situation?
It's the chicken and egg dilemma, and not useful, so go on wondering who's to blame, the racists or the baiters. Or, maybe, look at the actual problem and address it. This need of yours to single out particular actors when it's the system as a whole that is the problem is akin to the victimization many conservatives rightly criticize.
When Mayor de Blasio went to the hospital where the two slain officers were, all the police turned their backs on him. PIX11 story with video MoveOn started a petition calling him unfit to lead, and it's already garnered over 30,000 signatures. Here's a more in depth story from the New York Daily News. Patrick Lynch, head of the PBA, echoed Mullins’ anger at the mayor. “That blood on the hands starts on the steps of City Hall in the office of the mayor,” Lynch said in statement. “When these funerals are over, those responsible will be called on the carpet and held accountable.” He added that the blame also goes to “those who incited violence on the street under the guise of protest that tried to tear down what NYC police officers did every day.” “We tried to warn,” Lynch said. “It must not go on. It cannot be tolerated.” Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins said it was Mayor de Blasio's 'failed policies and actions that enabled this tragedy to occur.' Former Gov. George Pataki also lashed out against the mayor, claiming the cops’ deaths were a “predictable outcome of divisive anti-cop rhetoric of #ericholder & #mayordiblasio.” We all knew something like this would happen when de Blasio murdered a groundhog and then tried to cover it up.
Laugh it up all you want, but it might be worth your time to read this: http://www.motherjones.com/kevin-dr...conservatives-all-killings-theyre-responsible It's short, even you should be able to read it in less than a minute or two. But if tldr, when we decide to point fingers at talkers, rather than trigger pullers, there's a lot worse than Sharpton out there waiting for your condemnation. So maybe you should consider whether that's really the position you want to stake out. You too, @John Castle.
You might as well have posted something straight from the CPUSA. In short: No. EDIT: Oh, and claim "there's no such thing as Leftforge" again, just for the comedy of it.
Scintillating response there, Sparky. So what's your contention? All police are innocent lambs and all media are just MSU? Or, as with any human organization, a fish rots from the top down? Think, and read Post #2, before you respond.
The head of the fish is Obama and Holder who keep stirring the pot of racial divisiveness. Two grand juries of ordinary people, including blacks, have found the police not liable for any of this shit.
You're the one that brought up the rotting fish, and the police and MoveOn are blaming de Blasio, Holder, and the pot-stirrers. I am blaming Islam.
Not endorsing either yours, or @gul's points on this one, I do think there is something to be said for context. Nothing occurs in a vacuum.
So now you can't criticize the police, or else it's your fault when some nut kills one of them? Fuck that. It's "you're either with us, or you're with the terrorists" all over again.
Well, the game has always had two sides: cops and robbers. When the cops win everybody goes home happy except the robbers. When the robbers win, they are the only ones that stay happy for very long.
