I sure love finding crap I haven't before, it's kind of an easter egg thing. I ran across another ant research guy, but unfortunately he was dead. He had a Big Book of Scence, a bobby pinand leather armor. I also ran across a group of ants in here that didn't attack which was a first for me in the ant world. There were three "invader ants" in there I whacked. I've had numerous animals/enemies stay green and just not attack even when I was right next to them. Notations suggest that if I attack a rival colony these mutated forager ants would have a better chance of survival. Their egg catch also allows me to add a stimpak to the pod to make them stronger. *tssst* Stimpak removed! Cool.
I backed up to the mobile platform and tried to lob a nuke at Megaton and Rivet City but it said the path wouldn't allow it. I went ahead and dropped one on the Citidel being the only one it would allow, hopped on the plane and listened to them try to contact the crater. Yea, didn't take 'em long to call me a murdering bastard or some such and open up on me. I just stood there and let Fawkes mow 'em down.
Finally finished up Tenpenny on this run, I forgot I smoked Roy when I first walked up and went down to the station to get him to clean out the tower, since with the exception of Daring Dashwood I wouldn't give the bums the time of day. I couldn't figure out why Michael fired on me and wouldn't talk, but then I remembered and promptly killed him. If you don't piss off Bessie, when you whack her it's bad karma, soooo,... yea, she's dead and I'm 700 caps up for the task. Not that I need it, I've got 117,000 caps atm. If I figure I can live without a trader I may just go clean the place out myself of those assholes.
Alphaman you should get the fallout collection. It has fo1, fo2 and tactics. Of course youll need some fan made patches to get fo1 and fo2 to run under vista and windows 7 at least.
When you first enter the steelyard, look to your right at about one o-clock, on the small platform there's a dead guy and an assault rifle. That and the weapons you get from the fights in the hole will bring those sad fucks right into line. Get your ten bars, go back and fight in the pitt. Rinse lather repeat. By the time you get all three battles behind you like I said, you can drop 'em like flies. Besides, by that point you get your gear back. Did you get the sniper rifle from the broad on the bridge coming in?
Great. Just frikin' great. Looks like the sound card got dinked on my unit. It pivioted in my hand and banged against my rack when I was moving it an now the sound is non existant. I guess I should have been doing something else. Guess it's time to open it up again. [action=Caboose]turns and walks away grumbling profanities under his breath....[/action]
Turns out the teevee was the item that crapped out in the sound department and not my 360. That was a blessed discovery though now my Panasonic tube is adjusted for the deaf. Better it than the console, I have others. In celebration I went out and splattered the brains of the guy in the alley all over the wall and added to my mini nuke supply.
Check out the new Fallout: New Vegas trailer!! http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/02/04/fallout-new-vegas-set-for-fall-2010.aspx
i play on pc i have the fallout trililogy and fallout 3 done everything almost but broken steel and zeta
I was in Fry's today and scoped out the PC version with lust and wanton, but alas, my choices were a new pair of sneaks so I could peal off the remnants of the existing and only pair, or buy it. My feet doth protest loudest and the GECK will have to wait until I have fifty bucks and about three hundred hours to burn without reprisal. Well, at least I got the cheap USB mouse I needed to get.
Picked up the Trilogy pack for PC today for ten bucks, I figure it'll give me a better backstory. Never been much for this type of gameplay but once I get it figured out I'll get back to you with my take on them.
Preordered Vegas yesterday. Appears they have added a touch of class to this one, I think using a golf club to bash bad guys with may be an option. Can't wait, and I don't want to know anything until post release.
I have all of the good karma trophies, and I'll start the bad karma ones soon. I don't know if I'll ever get them all. I've put in over 100 hours on the good ones alone!!
I still need a neutral achievement for level 20 and and one evil for level 20 yet. I just need to back up and get them, but it'll be tricky getting there from my save points. Only 100 hours? Man, i don't want to know how many hours I actually have in this game but I am confident I have no less than 500 hours. I've spent days playing this.
if you have a save at level 18, load it, get to within 200 points of a level up, save, and start killing the water beggars until you are at neutral karma, then kill some raiders til you level up, (or stockpile scrap metal or super mutant blood samples) then get the here and now perk, and then when you are done and >pop< achievement unlocked, reload your level 18 save, kill water beggars til' your evil (if that isn't enough, kill silver in Springvale, and steal her stuff) rinse, and repeat, then reload your level 18 save again, and follow my instructions again at level 28
They're good time killers, not that that's bad since it is an adventure after all. I have a tendency to save prior to interaction, select a response and see what happens. Some are obvious the reaction you can expect when considering the target of interaction but I found a hell of a lot of paths one can take and while obviously finite it's interesting to get all you can get from the game. I have a feeling Vegas will be alright but the impact F3 has had on my gameplaying self tells me F3 will be a tough act to follow. I just love Bethesda's game. The first ones, not so much. We'll find out soon enough. I must be reserved on this game though so the better half dosen't disown me again.
