I'm going to a gun show tomorrow at the Tulsa Expo Center. I also plan to eat dead cow, drink unlimited soda refills, eat salted in-shell peanuts then throw the shells on the floor, all while paying under $50 for the experience.

I know this will upset Albert terribly, but today is the beginning of a week's vacation I'm taking. Unfortunately I won't be able to lecture potheads and I.V. meth freaks, or ruthlessly oppress the freedoms of rural Oklahomans until next Friday. :(

My kitty named Magellan says "hello" to Wordforge. Oops, looks like he got hungry.

I'm going home to see my folks and spend some time with my son this weekend. That and get a haircut, I'm start to look a little hippieish, like Elwood.

It's where you throw a big former vehicle tire tube in a river and float down said river with it.

    That said... Maro it's February.

Think sledding (down snow covered mountains) but with tubes instead of sleds.

Working the next two days - but then, my work week is over in three days, but one of them is Saturday. With the ice storm it will be pretty quiet here I would expect, so I'll be studying in my free time, doing some docs that I've been meaning to get to to tell the other people here how they are supposed to be doing their job, and maybe watch a movie on my company provided laptop. They are so considerate! LOL.

Sunday is with family, probably at my folks house, as my dad has had it pretty rough lately with a broken leg, pneumonia, then they found out he had lung cancer, and he had to have that surgically excised. The good news is the broken leg led them to the cancer, so hopefully it is all gone now.

Next week Mon-Wed while everyone else is working I plan on studying a bit, seeing Vantage Point, getting some of my wife's jewelry repaired, doing some work on my car, and doing my taxes. And I'll be keeping my kid home one day to build his super duper choo choo train set.

It's amazing the amount of shit you can get done on a three day work schedule.

Gun shows are basically firearms flea markets. In other words, heaven.

Me, I'm still not 100% sure I'm not gonna have to work one day again.
If not, it's buildin' model planes while watching Babylon 5 or Xena, With occasional snack breaks with viewings from my rotation of Miami Vice, Mission Impossible, Wild Wild West, Man from UNCLE, The Protectors, George Reeves' Superman, The Avengers, or Hawaii 5-0.

There are no writers strikes on DVD!

Yeah, tubing is also attaching a tube to a rope and riding it whilst being pulled by a fast boat.

Basically, when someone says they are going tubing, you don't know what the fuck they are doing.

Just picked up a 27" monitor and am trying to rework the cave yesterday and today to make it so I'm not having to sit three feet from it.

As for the rest of the weekend, I finished up my nephew's room remodel this week with the exception of a custom cut on a piece of laminate floor into the closet and some shoe mould and plan on finishing that and the gaming/entertainment center for the room now that the components have been selected.

Probably be in the attic over there running cable and replacing the failing insulation on the ductwork. Seems someone tried to pull the cable from the wall to reach the set believing there to be enough slack and pulled it in half.

I can't count the rebuilders I've been involved with over the years though I've been out of it for a decade or so. We never did wrecks, only strippers. In Mpls, I was predominately an interior man. They'd haul them in from Chicago.

Down here, I ended up sliding into an inventory gig for one of the heavy hitters for a couple of years until I tired of being greasy and went back to carpentry and construction.
