What Gul is ignoring, as usual, is that culture and values matter. They are bringing their culture and mindset with them and that means these problems are not going to disappear. They are real and it is going to get worse as you get more and more of them. People should be angry, they should be furious, because their safe homes have been turned into hunting grounds by these violent sexual predators. The politicians who allowed this need to be run out of office.
I'm pointing out an example of double-think, dumbass. Then why all the double-think from the left? I never said that. The point I made is that all the people shouting "rape culture!" and "victim blaming!" are turning around and victim blaming themselves because they're more worried about looking like racists than in standing up for their own purported ideals. Actually, yes, as the article in the OP is an example of, there is plenty of hypocritical double-think in action here. And I'm laughing at the way people who claim to be against rape culture are turning around and saying that women in these countries need to follow some kind of code of conduct or they might get raped, all while the leader of German proclaims that they just have to accept that these new immigrants are just more criminal, and the police and press are busy covering up crimes because of the racial make-up of the perpetrators. People are getting attacked in the streets, but you're more worried about looking like a racist than about everything else that's happened?
The mayor of Cologne certainly did that when she issued a code of conduct for women as if it was their fault the Arab rape gangs attacked them.
Context matters - before she did that she stated that the behavior by these migrants was unacceptable, that Cologne can't have any lawless zones and that the police will increase its presence and will work on improved security concepts for mass events. That said, I 100% disagree with her statement regarding women "keeping an arm's length from strangers" and the rest of it. That shouldn't have been said at all. The focus here should be on the people acting like douchebags.
Cologne probably doesn't have enough police to matter. In some German towns the Arab men outnumber the local residents. Overall Germany has three police officers for every thousand people. For every German policeman there are four Muslim immigrants just in this year's wave. And the immigrants aren't by any means evenly distributed. There was one German town where the residents were outnumbered by immigrants by a factor of seven. That's seven immigrants for every native and probably one policeman in the whole town. Any young German girl in that town might as well be an eight point buck on the opening day of hunting season, and unless she spends the left of her life with an armed guard detail she might as well get used to getting raped once or twice a week.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...ex-attacks-claimed-to-be-Syrian-refugees.html That article talks about both the sex attacks and the cover up. The cover up is almost as bad as the the sex attacks.
But getting attacked in the streets is the new reality. Girls were having to run a gauntlet. One of the German policeman in Cologne said a girl was standing next to him crying because the mob ripped off her underwear. Meanwhile, American campuses keep issuing idiotic instructions and directives about getting written consent before holding hands with the girl you've been dating for six years.
The fact that @gturner writes thousands upon thousands of words every day - mostly made up BS - on an obscure website tells you how much he knows about reality. It's literally impossible to take this guy seriously.
So there weren't about a million Muslim migrants who flooded into Europe, and the non-existent migrants aren't causing problems with rapes and thefts.

Tell me again how Muslims are different from Christians? and how the Middle East is different from the US? https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=high school girls singled out for wearing inappropriate attire
Mark Steyn had a wonderful piece on the first anniversary of Charlie Hebdo Without free speech, there are only the official lies - about who's killing Jews in Copenhagen, who's sexually assaulting women in Cologne - and there is nothing to say in response to either except to crank up the old joanna for one more chorus of "Imagine". What happened on January 7th 2015 was terrible. But our response to it made it more terrible, and emboldened civilization's enemies. With respect to the late Charb, the choice is not between dying standing up or living on our knees - for those who choose to live on their knees will die there, too, cringing and craven. As he said, he's getting pretty lonely on the free speech circuit because one by one everyone else is ending up dead or in hiding.
I guess those schools had some sort of dress code. While I disagree with dress codes that does seem like a minor complaint compared to roving gangs of Arab criminals robbing, harassing, and raping women. That is a whole other league of fucked up.
Here's the issue with this - the clubs close eventually. Thus the women will have to leave at that time. Will the bar/club owners escort them home safely? In other words the women were in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation leaving the clubs and going out into public. Leave now, before the guys get too riled up or wait until they are really riled up.
That wouldn't happen in a lot of Middle Eastern countries because to get kicked out of a school dance they'd have had to been in school. Also, in many places they'd be executed for dancing, so perhaps that's a good thing. One of the contestants on Afghanistan's Got Talent had to flee the country because she swayed her hips a bit during one of her songs and even the other contestants thought it was such a sad and stupid thing for her to have done because of course she must be killed for it. In tears she called her parents in her small village and they said "Don't come home! There's a bunch of people here waiting to kill you!"
You've seen how they handle crowds of a thousand in "The Walking Dead." Stay inside, don't make noise, and if you have to make a run for it - head shots, nothing but head shots. What most European cities should probably do is make a curfew so that women aren't allowed after dark. That might suck in northern Europe where the sun barely peeks above the horizon in the winter, but hey, European women can adapt just like Middle Eastern women did.
You can split hairs, but the mentality of women's dress stirring up men into lusting after them and harassing them is BS that our culture has long perpetrated. That's why asking women how they were dressed when raped at a trial was as routine as standing when the judge appeared. No, this doesn't excuse or lessen the severity of what's happening in Germany but, once again, I bring this up to mention that we too can go down the same rabbit hole as the Muslims on religion, if given the chance.
What...the...fuck. Talk about apples & oranges dude. These women were not getting drunk and going to a frat party. They were not dressed skimpily. They were out celebrating they have been doing many years prior. The only new factor in this equation is.....spoiler alert.....a thousand drunken shit-bags.
Yes - Germany can just adopt Sharia law - no women can go out alone. Apparently their mayor is transitioning into it.
You mean Cologne hasn't always had the downtown New Year's mass grope und rape festival? This was the first year of it? Well bye bye yoga pants! German fashions in 2015 German fashions in 2016
The guy actually makes a good point in his article. All of those people marching hold pens and saying Je suis Charlie yet all the major publications still refused to print the Mohammed cartoons. Even the group which reprinted Charlie Hebdo's work left a blank space where the cartoons were originally published. The terrorists won. They got what they wanted.
I lived in Germany for about four years. I can honestly say that for the most part unless you were acting a fool and looking for trouble, trouble would not find you. In other words you could go almost anywhere in public and not fear the shit you (rightly) fear in many places in the US. It would be a shame if that came to an end.
My $0.02 in all seriousness: First of all, yes. Women do need a code of conduct regarding their own personal safety. I could spell it out, but I think it's common sense and simple self-preservation. That being said, the Burgomeister of Cologne needs his nuts cut since he's obviously not using them. He and that hag Angela Merkel should not be letting packs of wild, barely potty-trained two-legged animals roam the streets of a civilized nation any time day or night, let alone letting them in arm's reach of normal people. Charles Martel must be spinning in his tomb right now.
Agree women should have a common sense "code of conduct." Don't get drunk in a military barracks would be one thing to steer clear of. Common sense. Being in a public area at a major tourist area in a country with a low rape and violence rate should be a safe move.
Because the men will start drinking, too, and then they'll start showing how to bypass the trigger circuit on an anti-tank missile, and the next thing you know you're lying naked in a pile of shattered lumber and burning pillows.
You misunderstood me, I wasn't referring to the Cologne assaults. I was simply making a general observation that women need to be encouraged to exercise common sense and make safe decisions. Which, ironically, is all the mayor of Cologne was really advocating for, not some "code of conduct" as the misleading thread title suggested. What's wrong with telling an assault victim to notify the police? Naturally, my opinion is that the filthy islamotrash out roaming the streets of Cologne like packs of rabid dogs should be rounded up and euthanized, with extreme prejudice.
