After giving it some thought, my answer is I hope they don't change a damn thing. The whole reason for this pointless poll is based on the fact that some posters here are intimidated by rep. Weeellll... If you're intimidated by little red squares in your user cp, then it stands to reason that Wordforge really isn't for you, and you should go back to TrekBBS where the admins can coddle you and you can make your posts without fear of people calling you to task. Nope. Keep rep exactly the way it is. If you can't stand the heat, stay outta the kitchen. Don't pussify it for a few members who can't take it. If you want a forum where the mods and admins protect you from mean posters, you can start a thread in the Green Room. If you want a forum with no rep, go back to TrekBBS. T'Bonz will welcome you with open arms.

That was Lanzman's call, not mine. You're actually quite lucky that I suggested a tool to negate that when I did. They weren't too thrilled with you and your retarded friend Liet making the board unreadable to everyone else, and you both would've probably been warned and banned eventually had I not come to WF's rescue.
What's your problem garamet? Find out there were more red than green? But you have yours turned off so it shouldn't matter to you one way or the other. Leave it alone and let those of us who like it, use it and show it continue to do so.
Scorpy et al. seem to be the ones with problems handling the heat. The rest of us are just dejected by the concentrated industrial strength stupid of Scorpy and pals constantly derailing every attempt at actual discussion, and we alternate between complaining about it and going with the flow. Wordforge is, theoretically, a discussion board that allows considerable leeway for trolling/flaming/spam because heated responses in heated discussion are just part of having open and honest discussion. It is not, theoretically, a troll board at which discussion is a secondary concern and trolling/flaming/spamming is allowed to completely overwhelm discussion to the point where no discussion takes place. Theoretically.
As for my vote, since there is no option for it. Leave rep alone except for disabling or severely limiting emoticons in it. That's just straight up harassment, which I disagree with no matter who it's directed at.

Rep/karma is the best troll tool on any board. I think it's kind of silly and I'm really amazed at how intense rep wars can get. Alliances are formed, people plot in secret, and they actually get more upset over a neg rep than an all out flaming reply to a post. I just dont get it. My evil troll side loves to go in and tinker with stuff, make admins karma worth 500 points, find the 10 highest in rep points and put a - sign in front of their number, make them spread it around to 30 people, limit them to X number of karma hits a day, start everyone over with 0, fun stuff like that. mm
