We got it lastnight, just one day behind the US. Really good episode, pretty brutal imagery but that's what we have come to expect.

holy crapweasel that slaughter scene was brutal. how the hell did they get this by the censors?! zombies aren't 'human' so they can do whatever they want with but those guys... whoa. good one though. i like how they have a goal now and a graceful way to end it before shark jumping time. to DC, without stumbling around like the undead themselves!

Censor? This is cable TV shown late at night. There aren't censors. And if there are, their tasks are very minor.

Well at least no breasts were shown - that would get them a lifetime ban on American TV.

I thought it would take half the season to break out of Terminus… but that storyline might not be over, or the flashbacks were pointless…

Not quite. This for example is how the last season was meant to end, before AMC instructed them to censor it:

Apparently that's the version that is on the dvd version of the episodes.

Yeah, "fucking" would make more sense. But you can't say that. You can say "shit" all you want.
Whatever, I think if you want censorship change the fucking channel - problem solved.

I watched the last season on Blu Ray (not cable) and was quite surprised when the recap this season was missing the f-bomb. It really loses the dramatic impact.

What the hell is wrong with you, America? :jayzus:

AMC gave Breaking Bad permission to drop the F-bomb once a season (and apparently three times in the final season) so it's not something they are entirely against. My guess is that they know they get a lot of teenagers watching the show, and don't want to risk alienating any parents who for some reason are ok with all the violence but would object to a bit of language.

I say again: what the hell is wrong with America?

So it's okay to show hundreds of people dying in the most horrific and graphic ways, but the minute you show a boob or drop an f-bomb it's suddenly not okay?

You know, it really doesn't matter how correct or logical an argument is: when your argument begins with "so X is Ok but Y isn't" in an indignant tone with plenty of inflammatory wording...it comes off as petulant whining.
Just an observation on the nature of effective debate.

You can show guys having their throats cut full frontal with blood spurting everywhere, but you can't say a word.

That's right! No American teen has ever heard the word "fuck" or seen a breast, even if only in an adult magazine.
And no American teen has ever been on the internet where it's rumored that people curse and get naked/have sex.

Yeah. I was anticipating at least a couple episodes of stuck-in-a-shipping-container.

    This was way better. :techman:

I didn't realise watching the episode, but the first guy who got his throat cut was the hippy dude that Rick met while out on his trip to evict Carole from the group. Little touches like that are great.

Then the TV censors were asleep at the switch, because that's the only place a child would hear curse words. Generations prior
to television had no cursing, but the occasional slip up on TV ruined us all.
Also men had no knowledge of breasts prior to an Alice Kramden nip-slip. That was the start of Ralph Kramden's
"homina, homina" babbling when he got flabbergasted.

Another possible spoiler, based on something from the comics (although it was a different character):

I thought of that too because of the comics and the little setup in the basement. But that would make it hard for them to follow the heroes throughout the season and it looks like that's what they are going to do.

One side note: does anyone else notice that they seem to have a quota limit on black folk in this show? Every time a new one comes along they kill off an old one. Tyreese comes in, T- Dawg goes down. Father Gabriel shows up, Bob goes to work at IHOP. Now they're hinting at Morgan rejoining the show. Tyreese better not be making any long term future plans.

I mean realistically, it's set in Atlanta and guns are extremely useful. So if stands to reason there should be a whole lot more blacks with guns running around since that's kinda what Atlanta is now.

I do wonder... it's inevitable they go to Washington at this point unless the writers want to go into total gaga-land. Why run in circles in Georgia? Now logic dictates they don't walk all the way up there. There are cars still left and it's a day's worth of driving. They could go to the coast, grab a ship, steam up the coast and debark at the bloody Lincoln Memorial (epic action scene at the National Mall!) Or they could finally go and have a look at what's at the gazillion military bases in the area. Isn't there an Air Force Base near Macon (sp?) or something?

But then this isn't a series where people react as real people would. I see a looooong walk in their future. Or not because Rick decides it's better to run around the forest without end.
