Having friends and kin in NYPD, I heard about this very early in the day. Hesitated to post it, given what I anticipated to be the reaction by a few people here.

No, but he knows if you want decent money you have to be willing to do what other people aren't willing or able to do. He's single so it's not like anyone depends on him if lord forbid the worst happens. He also has a very high tolerance for pain injury-wise. I saw him get "rodded" for V.D. (came up negative) when he was still a teen and he didn't even flinched. Google rodded if you don't know what that means. He's broken bones when he was still in Kindergarten and grade school and took it in stride. The first time the medics at the hospital said his arm couldn't be broken because he was calm as a cucumber. X-rays proved his arm was indeed broken. He's a little guy but pretty strong-willed and fearless.

All my cop run-ins since I moved here to Augusta (trust me, I've had many of them) involved black or white cops. I'm guessing many police departments are not much different.
Aye. I expect to see these incidents increase. As the State Security Forces continue to militarize and see the citizenry as the enemy to be contained, look for the citizenry to push back. Although it should be noted that when it comes down to targeting security forces, we aren't even within an order of magnitude compared to the 1920s.

The underlying culture has thousands of horrible little things lurking in dark corners, but whipping the people into a frenzy about any one of them is not necessarily a good thing. That's how we start witch hunts, riots, and progroms.
Those too. Already Twitter is abuzz with praise for the killer from the expected quarters, with people wanting to wear T-shirts with his name on them, since he was a hero who executed white police officers in the name of racial justice.

Their main offense is to act like you do that PD's like Ferguson are wide spread across America. Even with 100 incidents of police brutality, there are thousands upon thousands incidents of no brutality at all. You are only worked up because it was blacks who were involved yet no peep about any of the unarmed white men shot. Because, that's not as politically flammable for you or the media and certainly not Sharpton. If you really want to stop this imagined crisis, then do something about the criminals. Of the cop and the crook, only one of them broke the law that put them into a violent confrontation. When gangs of police are roaming the streets of every city, shooting non-criminals at will then I'll be concerned. Until then, as long as they are shooting criminals, fuck off.
My problem with your statement is that it over simplifies. Look in the mirror if you want to question somebody's intelligence. Look beyond simple sound bites if you want to understand why these murders happened.
You just can't handle that the biggest race relations problem in America isn't the so called "racists", it's the race baiters who profit off of it and the media that also profits by stirring up hatred for ratings.
