Thanks, I do plan on sticking around. Just for the record, I did the exact same thing on the alternatehistory.com forum and the admin was like, "so?" I don't know. It would be nice to start over there, because it is the main Star Trek board out there. I just don't like to be thought of as a troublemaker, even on the Internet.
The one with all the whips and chains on the walls. Eh, one man's trouble is another man's, um, not as much trouble. Shit, I thought I had that. Anyway, most of the people here are Star Trek fans. I'm sure you could get a decent discussion going.
I'm very interested in how the culture over there has developed over the years. What kind of stuff really sets the moderators off? Are there really favorites who get away with a lot? Why the hell do they still have the MA forum?
I don't know if it was just my depression or whatever, but I took the whole thing with T'Bonz and the other mod hard. Harder than the Internet deserves. I'm still kind of upset about it. I hate to sound after school specialish but it makes me seriously evaluate how I judge other people.
TBBS is nothing but a cesspool of disgusting faggots larping as something they are not. FaT'Bonz and her faggotcunted niggershit Mods do everything to keep the site as bland and homogay as possible. You get warned or banned for the slightest things you say. So intolerant, unlike the Federation depicted in STARTREK.
DON'T ASK HIM THAT!!! It took 3 litres of horse tranquilizer to get him to stop demonstrating last time, and we had to scrape the poor idiot who asked off the wall... although it was hard to tell some biological matter from other types at that point.
*lol* Love you too, buddy. Never miss a chance. We're pretty tolerant but people that act like retarded trolls don't last long. I'm not sorry about that. TNZ - well I inherited that. They seem to like it and pretty much they have their community. My predecessor cracked down on a community there once and it didn't go well, right WF? *grin*. I learned from her mistake (not her fault - who knew how passionate people get over online shit?) So yeah, at this point in time, TNZ is rather hard left. These days, I guess, there is no place for people on both sides, as I said over there. It's one side or the other. This site leans in the other direction. I'm actually moderate leaning conservative which makes for some interesting days on the BBS. I do hold some liberal views (limited abortion, drug legalization) so I have enough to make 'em all hate me. If both sides hate you, you must be doing something right. If not, fuck them all.
How the fuck do you people keep getting banned from Trek BBS? In the ten years or so I posted there I made all sorts of dumb posts and I only got one or two friendly warnings. In my entire history of BBS posting I've only gotten one official warning, at StarScape because Exodus needed to be told to go fuck himself outside an area where telling people to go fuck themselves was allowed. Anyway:
Do you wear pantaloons, an eye-patch and a talking parrot? Yes, it’s obvious you hold many liberal views as you boast about abolishing neutrality in The Neutral Zone. You’re a pretty tolerant moderate conservative, but Trump supporters are retarded trolls. You’re not a martyr, you’re Melissa Click.
Hmm, I was never warned or banned. However, there are some quite nasty people there, especially in TNZ.
1) Not even close to being a martyr. Was explaining the circumstances of TNZ. 2) Not Melissa Click either. I have this funny idea that both sides should be able to converse and let each other converse without being controlling pricks and trying to shut down discussion. I laughed my ass off when they let her go, stupid moron. 3) Retarded trolls has zippo to do with Trump supporters (or Hillary supporters for that matter) or politics in any way, but with fucking idiots online who are too stupid to control themselves and avoid warnings. It doesn't take much to say something unpopular politically and avoid a warning (but not people coming down on you for your views). Of course, that means those who disagree with you will do their best to tear you a new one, which is why I try to avoid politics unless I know the person is reasonable (*able to converse without name-calling or being insulting). The times when I forget and do fall into a shitstorm, I'm always madder at myself than the intolerant jerks themselves. That bleeds over into real life. Too many fascists (both sides of the political divide) who not only are correct about everything, but have fucking ESP when it comes to who you are or what you believe or what you really mean. Politics today is tedious. Even more than unskilled dull basement-dwelling trolls. At least trolls can (at times) be amusing. The good ones, that is.
It is complicated. But this drama is kind of lame. Trekbbs has a lot of liberals. Well no shit, it's a Star Trek board. It's been that way forever.
Well, some libs are easily hurt like rightards. There is a need for moderated safe space for those who just don't want to deal with asshole and shitty comments. Not everyone wants to play in the shitpile. I am not sure why because the shitpile is kind of liberating, but there is room for both.
You could of course make the argument that Star Trek is "liberal" but I think of it as similar to MASH. Both are basically liberal but have a number of features conservatives can enjoy. I like both shows.
It was merged with this forum years ago so you may see posts from it if you accidentally click the Last Message button.
Compared to this place? Nah... You are a special Christian snowflake, people questioned your stories(even other Christians) and that's why you left...
