I almost think that the simplistic make-up means a Joker who is truly, nightmarishly, bat-shit insane.

Well, he definitely looks like the Joker.

I wasn't wild about the initial makeup test shot, but seeing him in action makes me more optimistic.

Guess they're not going with the facial scars bit.

If this is as weird and dark and indie as I think it can be, this could be DC's "Logan".
This movie has shot up to my most anticipated on the DC slate.

Birds Of Prey has a February 2020 release date.

Yeah, that main protagonist is so fucking cool, you can tell because he is dumb and disaffected. I already want to see him drowned after half the trailer.

It looks an improvement on Man of Suite, Suicide Shit, Batfleck v Supermope and Justice Farce.

Mera, Aquaman's (eventual) wife.

And Mera was introduced in 1963, while Scarlet Witch did not appear until much, much later: 1964. So, technically, Scarlet Witch is the knock-off.

Marvel making DC their cinematic bitch pretty much negates all that.

Aqua man looks awesome, too bad the DCU has imploded.

Weirdly, I've never thought of Joker as a clown (though he is the Clown Prince of Crime) so it seems wrong somehow for his makeup/look to go full clown.

And yet...I'm kinda digging it.
