Seriously? You're going to equate avoiding the kind of brutal repression that LGBTQ+ people face in the rest of the Middle East, including imprisonment and execution, to "painting the kitchen"?

I can understand not wanting to entertain this argument when it comes from people who are consistently opposed to LGBTQ+ rights in the United States, but there are a lot of ways in which Israel and its policies are objectively better than the likely alternative. And it's not just a talking point to say that Palestinians and Muslims in Israel are freer than they are in just about any Muslim-majority nation in the Middle East -- it's verifiable fact.

To be fair, queers love long hard objects carried around by dark men.

A while back I engaged with @14thDoctor regarding his thoughts about everyone needing to punch nazis because a nazi was always bad and evil and plotting something. I guess it is my better nature that I did not immediately draw the connection between the 14th and a zionist jew.

Having dealt with a number of jewish people in a number of different ways I am very aware of their conservative views, and jewish superior views. There is a commonality with the american catholic italian and jewish families. That is the older conservative view that they are god's chosen, and that they have to deal with the lesser of us before they get into the afterlife. They do their spiritual things while they know most of us are not going with them to their promised lands because they did their things.

I think the jewish families were a bit better in america at hiding their conservative and more orthodox members. This is probably due to numbers as when you get closer to all jewish communities, you also get closer to the conservative orthodox jews. Having worked with Hacidic and orthodox jews over the years they really do have a superior cast that is segregated from american society by a handler class that deals with non-jews. Sort of like how you have the Vatican and high religious class separated from your everyday catholics. We do not get to go right up to the pope and speak to him unless it is very controlled, and even then it is pretty much a chosen few.

This sort of pattern runs into the crime syndicates and is a bit of why the Italian Mafia was able to work with Jewish people as they understood these things.
