I’m mostly libertarian leaning, but see the value in some progressive policies like the ones Norway has.
I find this hard to believe. You seem to acknowledge the US political system is broke, but consistently blame Democrats. That doesn’t sound like you see any value in any progressive policy. But, … I won’t call you a liar. What specific progressive policies do you find have value?
Ok. So, anti-factory farming. I’d say everyone is against that, but … I’m constantly surprised when people actually speak in favor of them. Also, not really progressive. Most preppers are anti-progressive/liberal and most are anti-dependency - which is what factory farming does. What else? Anything?
I think the last time this came up, I already provided links saying Manchin had specifically opposed it. But here's a fresh link or two for you that look at the efforts that had been done. https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-...-tracker/promise/1562/work-codify-roe-v-wade/ https://thehill.com/homenews/3851564-senators-reintroduce-bipartisan-bill-to-codify-roe/ https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/20/politics/senate-votes-abortion/index.html And yes, I'm sure there are progressive voters who will ignore that these efforts basically could not succeed.
Giving subsidies to anyone is antithetical to libertarian belief. So is the idea of using protective tariffs. Another thing that I've supported for a while now is a public option for healthcare. More recently, I support a federal minimum wage increase.
I’m assuming your comment about “subsidies” has to do with tuition free college. What you and others against “free college” is that you already pay for both state and community colleges and universities. That’s why it’s already cheaper for in-state students. Also, if a college degree is required for a job, that falls under public education.
In Texas, if you're a doctor who performs an abortion on a patient, you could be locked up for life... Texas attorney who poisoned pregnant wife with abortion medication sentenced to 180 days in jail
That he wasn't charged with attempted murder (was the abortion successful?) puts the lie to every claim Texas has made about the intent of their laws.
Israel knows its land and resources are limited. Controlling population is a must. US ‘Christians’ think Jesus will take all his followers to heaven leaving the rest of us to suffer. And, to them, forcing non believers to suffer is the ultimate goal. Also, billionaires need a constant source of poor to exploit.
How about instead we tattoo men with their personality disorders to warn women? Y'know, so they don't even end up in that situation. Oh, right, Republicans want women trapped in bad situations. That's the point.
Oooh, I like the tattoo idea. By the time you include body count, number of children and baby mommas/daddies, list all STDs, criminal background and credit report, you might as well make it a barcode that hits a database somewhere.
Yes, that was the original joke that you just elaborated on. You're so unironic about liberals being oppressors, jokes are real to you. Congratulations. You're femptoseconds away from raiding a pizza place.
Have it tattooed on their dick. Give it the maximum humiliation factor. (Sadly, there's a power hungry schmuck that will think that's a legit good idea, but would carve an exemption for himself [if a man] and their cronies)
Seems like in many US states there are Republicans increasingly pushing for abstinence only sex ed. Another victory for parental rights!
Let's keep doing the thing that never works because the thing that works makes us feel icky and ashamed.
Why stop at a tattoo, we can put a star on their chest as well so you know who the Je… I mean bad men are?
