There is a huge world of causing children to have brain damage by forcing them into sports like football that actually exists. There is a huge world where indoctrinating kids into a religion causes psychological problems and results in physical abuse and stupidity.

If UA and the right was really concerned about problems resulting in parental influencing of children into dangerous outcomes they would worry about that. Maybe there are a couple of kids in the world who might try to please their parents by being trans, but I am sure the world will teach those kids the lesson. It is just a lie that that is a danger while UA encorages kids to beat eachother up on the football field, or be left alone with the local religious child molestor.

You haven't paid attention; despite his portrayal of himself as a macho stereotype in every other area, he's as much an anti-sports nerd as well...me.
But, your point stands that I never hear about him being "protective" and "concerned" about concussed football kids.

Over here where he is trying to pretend he is not a full on trumpanzee I am sure he is like that, but when you put him in a room with a bunch of the guys in his life and he talks football and drinks whatever cheep beer is supposedly masculine and noit bud light. I am sure whenever the super bowl is he will be with his bros telling them all about his high school sports days.

I will give you one hint how we all know that is who he is. It is the problems he has with girls who dye their hair multiple colors like pink. Guys who exist in the geeksphere do not have that particular hangup.

Whether or not any individual believes that is irrelevant. It is not the place of teachers to indoctrinate a captive audience with their personal opinions.

Introducing objectivity means the whole "gender is a spectrum and learn muh neo pronouns" horse shit is out the window. You are free to teach your children as you see fit. What you are NOT free to do is undermine other parents.

Actually, it is the job of teachers to indoctrinate children into society. That is exactly what we want them to do. That is what teaching is. The confusion with the word is where we dont weant to indoctrinate them into lies and bullshit meant to make them worship others based on fairy tales and dumbassery. If a person wants to go live in fairy tale land with jebus and the yaweh after they have been properly educated about facts, truth, critical thinking, and how society works then that is their choice. We should not be indoctrinating them with lies from the start. Then they turn out as hateful, prejudiced, child loving, gullible, paranoid, fearful, cowardly, craven, greedy, violent, rapey, sexually perverted, sickos.

Nothing warps a kid so much as religious teachings IMO. It is worse than drugs.

The reality is the parents and child are not "given" a choice. They are raising their kids to participate in society. That involves being familiarized with popular games and activities.

OMG I am so high right now.

Bull fucking shit. My classroom, my rules. Don't like what I teach, send your kids to a private school that conforms to your worldview.

Can afford private school? Then learn a skill and get a real job.

Are you no longer of the opinion that it is not against parental rights to teach kids about racial segregation being bad without checking in with parents?

Or no longer of the opinion that a school is not obligated to inform parents of romantic contact between a male and female student despite the fact their parents may object to it?

Or are you no longer of the opinion that teaching kids about evolution without first getting parents consent is not wrong because the parents objections to such things aren't worthy of equal respect?

I never was. Enough with your tedius fucking gotcha games and stick to the topic.

Ok, you're just getting tiresome. Evolution is an objective fact. "There are 37 genders and you are obligated to validate mine" is not.

And informing parents of romantic contact is situational. If they're banging in the bathroom, probably.

Cool, so the next time you come up with your parental rights statement like it's a smug unbeatable full stop on discussion we can be sure to remind you that you agree it is actually no such thing.

There are non-religious people who believe certain races are superior and shouldn't be integrated.

There are non-religious types who believe there shouldn't be friendships between people, even children, of opposite sexes.

There are non-religious people who believe homosexuality is completely wrong and anything that exposes children to th concept of gay people deserving equal respect and recognition is abhorrent.

And there are non-religious people who believe that trans identities don't really exist, and dedicate a lot of their own identity towards belittling it.

Your stance on what does and doesn't belong is based on your own biases, and then you retroactively try to generate objective reasons to justify why it is not.

Which topic? Child labor laws or LGBTQ stuff? I hope you can forgive us for jumping to the conclusion that you support the "Don't Say Gay" law in Florida, given that you have repeatedly leapt to its defense and accused its opponents of wrongdoing because the bill does not literally say "don't say gay," and do not seem overly troubled by the chilling effect that it would have on educators.

But let's put some questions directly to you:

    1. Do you support the Florida law that we've been discussing in its current form? If so, why? If not, why not?

    2. Would you be fine with a law that required teachers to report to parents if a child talked to them about being uncomfortablle going to church because they didn't believe in God? If so, why? If not, why not?

The bias is against the subjective nonsense shoved at a captive audience and taking time away from actual education. How big of a percentage now that graduate without even know how to fucking read? It's fine that they're unemployable and unable to function as adults, as long as they adopt the correct gender politics. That's what welfare is for, right?

No. Because my default solution isn't always "more government intrusion" like most of you.

Same answer. With the added angle of separation of church and state.

Remember when The Soviet Union collapsed under its social spending?
Oh, wait, no, it was the gluttony of the political class, and their military over-spending for the Cold War.

Ever notice how right-wing paranoia fantasies require there to be something brand new under the sun?
Which is funny, since they're not the least bit creative.

The Don’t Say Gay bill thread post 306, the Radial Eliminationists vs trans thread posts 354, 366, 2128, and 2136 are explicit defenses of law requiring teachers to out trans students to their parents.

And if you don’t think so, may I say you’re a piss-poor communicator.

Are your opinions on how much time is being spent on these things based on your experience as a parent of children in school or an educator?

    "Subjective nonsense" :dayton:

I didn't spend $50,000 on an education just so Billy-Bob, who dropped out of 8th grade to go work at the foundry, can cry "woke bullshit" when I teach that the Earth is round and that the holocaust happened.

I'm sorry that you're too stupid to wrap your head around the idea that it turns out gender is a bit more complicated than you were taught in Kindergarten, but that's your problem, and no one else's. Take some responsibility for yourself for once instead of whining because you're either too lazy or too stupid to learn new things.
