I love the rumble, the Miami Thugicanes should be expelled from college football all together. Their damn coaches are thugs.
long day, nothing to do so watched Bama beat up on Vandy 23-10 and Georgia Tech is beating the crape out of Samfort 55-0 in the 3rd UGA and South Carolina plays later tonight, i'll be at work for alot of it though
Well, looks like the Wolverines really are that bad - Oregon 39, Mich 7. Carr will be shown the door at the end of the season. Oklahoma looked very impressive, especially their QB, who everyone thought was going to be the weakness of this team. And Washington looks to be for real - 24-10 over #22 Boise State, and their 14 game winning streak comes to an end. Waiting for TCU-Texas and Va Tech - LSU tonight!
Texas Tech and UTEP are tied 31-31 at the start of the 4th. UTEP started off strong by scoring 3 TD's in a row in the 1st, since then the Raiders have sort of started taking control. I gotta say, I'm scared about Tech's defense this year. I think our games against OU, Texas, and A&M could be very ugly if we don't get some serious work done. Meanwhile TCU is beating Texas 10-7. I wish that game was on TV here. I predict even if Texas wins they fall out of the top 10 after this weeks showing.
Tech has put in 2 quick touchdowns. 45-31 with 9 and some change on the clock. Texas has taken the lead on TCU and looks like they are about to score again. I have to say I wish TCU would replace Baylor in the Big XII, they are a much better fit.
Whoa, LSU looked awesome destroying Va Tech tonight. Not sure if LSU is really that good or Tech is really that bad - probably a little of both. But it's looking like LSU's road through the SEC might be easier than originally thought, as #17 Auburn loses to FSU (no, the OTHER FSU), and #11 Georgia loses to USC (no, the OTHER USC). Sorry Elwood!
Florida Southern looks to be the Vandy of the Big East. Why did it have to be our turn. Oh wait b/c we sucked ass and handed them the ball everytime we could!
Anyways, Oklahoma State defeats powerhouse Florida Atlantic 42-6, after the second string QB comes in and lights up the field. I do not have a good feeling about playing at Troy next week, the way we're going it could be another long night. Way to pull it out Tex, I saw the score on the ticker before teh game was over, and had my comments ready.
Way to go USF! I'm glad to be a season ticket holder now. And by the way, it is the University of South Florida located in Tampa, not Miami as some assume. This is the next great Florida program!!! Go Bulls (and Gators)!
USF is definitely doing it right. They've been around for 11 years, and in the last few they have quality wins against Louisville, West Virginia, and now Auburn. Most impressive!
That's what she said. And after I let the Cowgirl's little slip up in the first week go... You better bring your A game in 2 weeks.
Ahhhh.... Texas Tech football. You know damn well every Leach Comeback Miracle is always followed by an utter collapse in all phases of the game. It happens every year. You're due.
This one wasn't a comeback miracle. We haven't used that card yet. After the 1st quarter UTEP played like who they really are, and so did Tech. Of course if you're somehow tying in last year's record breaking Bowl comeback then all bets are off. And before you pull the "secret weapon" card, we already know yours...
Well it's that time of year again for Ash. A magical season that, here in Aggieland, is called Firefran. Once again my beloved Ags managed to put in a piss poor effort, readily displaying the same deficiencies of the previous year, and give me a mild heart attack in the process. Wanna know what kind of team A&M has this year? Think last year, only with an even worse passing game (if you can imagine) and a defense that can't get off the field on 3rd down. Here's some eye opening stats: Despite being 2-0, the Ags have been out gained by both shitty opponents. Our QB has run for more yards than he has passed for. How many yards has he passed for? After 2 games, he has less than 200 yrds total for the season. Despite our inability to pass, Fran keeps thinking that running Goodson on a draw is a great idea. Memo to fat, white-haired "coaches" everywhere: if you can't pass, the draw doesn't work. Now my early obseverations on the rest of college football: OU is by far the class of the Big 12 . . . and Stoops is being a dick about it. Expect OU to royally thrash the Ags in Norman ala 2003. Texas sucks dick by choice. Texas Tech will also royally thrash the Ags in Lubbock this year. Think 30+ point victory. Brian Brohm will have ridiculous stats this year. Louisville vs. W.Va will be the most fun game to watch this year. Louisville can't stop the run and WVA can't stop the pass. They were made for each other. Kansas might be better than Okie Lite. LSU is scary good, especially on defense. Their DL is a meat grinder. Auburn sucks . . . alot. And no, that's not smack talk, just the truth. Tebow will be an outstanding QB. Dixon from Oregon is a defensive coordinator's worst nightmare. Kid can run and throws a beautiful ball. Michigan sucks dick by choice. No defense, no balls, no heart. Ryan Mallet, the back up QB for Michigan, has the strongest arm I've ever seen in college football. Period.
Well DUH! They're not stupid!!! There's: 1) Tony Temple off-tackle left 2) Tony Temple off-tackle right 3) Jeremy Maclin reverse left 4) Jeremy Maclin reverse right
So if Troy goes on to beat the Cowpokes (as it already seems they are completely capable of doing), will it constitute an upset?
No offense Flow, but has OSU already given up on the season 3 games in? Cause this effort tonight is fucking pathetic. This scrub team is pushing them around all over the field.
I'm about to give up, let's just say that. This is fucking pathetic. Boone needs to sell the team or find a new coach.
I don't know if the rest of the game is worth watching. OSU seriously looks like a team that's decided this season isn't worth playing. Absolutely pitiful. Is this really the best team that the school can field? Are they really not able to recruit better than this? I say pull the entire first team and let the backups play the second half.
Considering it's a top fifteen or so recruiting class the last couple of years, I'd blame coaching. Yeah, coaching. Whoever the coach is the next year is gonna have some talent.
Maybe....I've always felt like OSU should be able to recruit top players. But then, I always felt like Mizzou should have been able to recruit better players and field better teams than what they did. Instead they gave us 3 years of Brad "2-step drop, look off receiver, scramble" Smith.
