The big story in the Superbowl, beyond Peyton Manning proving he's not as good as Tom Brady (duck) is once again confirmation that this is a country of idiots.

This is a beautiful add. It says so much about the strengths, the genius of what makes America, and yet the herp derp squad descends on Coke's Facebook page to proclaim in badly spelled rants that Coke is not patriotic because English and fuck yeah, we'll drink Pepsi now, you bunch of communists!

    http://www.businessinsider.com/coke-super-bowl-america-the-beautiful-ad-2014-2

Yeah, Twitter and the usual blogs are all afire, too. Really, these dipshit are just playing into Coke's hands by creating buzz, but what the fuck, can they really be that stupid?

America is a Christian nation, and if English was good enough for Jesus to speak in the Bible, it's good enough for everyone else. :bailey:

I love all the ignorant jingoistic morons yelling that THEIR immigrant ancestors learned English.

Bullshit. Some of my great-grandparents immigrated from Germany around 1885. They lived in a German enclave in North Dakota. They had a German-language newspaper. They probably spoke German in church. My other great-grandparents? Their obituaries were printed in a newspaper written in Norwegian.

So, I'm sorry you feel threatened by diversity, but fuck off with that shit.

Well, there's apparently a gay couple in this commercial, as I've already seen some of my more fundamentalist associates complain about it on FB.

And Kudos to Cheerios for revisiting that family in a follow-up ad (during the Super Bowl, no less)!!!!

Well, considering that they released a funny "fuck you" ad shortly after the original aired, its hardly surprising that they continued with the series.

I didn't find the ad bothersome though I do can understand why some people get tired of all the diversity stuff. I get that way myself sometime.

Cause you can get CokeTM in Hanoi Congo Shanghai and Zambia? Certainly it's not because of some liberal suit-made sop (apparently successfully) designed to get libs to slobber.

You have to be liberal to appreciate diversity? Interesting.

The real question you have to ask...is it celebrating American diversity or flipping the bird to people who want to get illegal immigration under control?

Now of course it's cheerleaders will say it's the first...and it's detractors will say it's the latter.

As for the Cheerios commercial, my only issue with that it looks like some ad guy virtually screaming "SEE HOW LIBERAL AND PROGRESSIVE WE ARE!!!", and their target demographic for that ad will lap it up.

I can understand Coke wanting to be seen as "celebrating American diversity" so long as it's clear that all those diverse people enjoy drinking Coke... but why exactly would Coke be interested in "flipping the bird to people who want to get illegal immigration under control?"

    Unless... :conspiracy:

You know what makes money? Not alienating the many diverse ethnicities and cultures that consume your product.
Seriously, guys, back off of the liberal/conservative thing. You've inhaled too much, and it's making you paranoid.

Clearly the only thing for it, gul, is for you to learn Spanish (or Mandarin or whatever) and make all your posts here in a foreign language from now on. :bergman:

Well, one could collect some of the conservative outrage and point out how English doesn't seem to be their first language. Those retards don't even know what's their national anthem.

I don't give a rats ass about diversity. I would prefer that my children mix with children of the same race and religion. Otherwise they might be confused.

Unlike quite a few libs I know I don't get the warm and fuzzies when people are holding hands, jerking off together or singing kumbaya simply based on skin color(s) alone. God, what an alien concept to a true liberal, to be color blind and not rascist.

Marketing suits are talented pros, but unlike with Obama's team that's been peddling contempt for success and class warfare for more than five years, at least Coke's product is inoffensive and even worth consuming.

So yes, that's what I said, Amercia is great because Coke is ubiquitous, not from skin colors alone.

Now, let's see if they can produce one that promoted everyone speaking American English. You know, the language of this country? Alas, it is also the INTERNATIOINAL LANGUAGE OF BUSINESS! Think about it.

No real disagreement. I happened to like the add, but certainly don't care if people have Dayton's reaction of meh. But the idiots flooding Coke's Facebook page are frankly just embarrassing to true patriots.
