How much of a decapitation strike would it take for Trump to seize control of the military on the 20th? Like, how many people would Trump’s terrorists have to kill or take hostage in the line of succession before some commander can’t figure out who’s supposed to be in charge, starts getting maybe-illegal-but-at-least-it’s-something orders from Trump (maybe indirectly, so it’s less obviously illegal) and gets enough of the local troops to follow that he can stage a proper coup this time. The confusion doesn’t need to last long, only long enough that when the troops realize the magnitude of their treason and the consequences that it would entail, they start supporting Trump outright out of self-preservation. Then they can kill Congress and SCOTUS, and we’re in Nazi America.

agree! Now that we have ways to expose unlawful activity like this, every single protestor that willfully engages in the "riot" portion of a protest should be publicly exposed.

Or would you say that the Boston Tea Party, slave rebellions, riots over working conditions are all morally the same as the riots over the election, riots over winning/losing the Super Bowl or some other event, riots over a Black Friday sale, etc.?

they pretty much have to be considered the same, unless the people judging the morality of the riot are guaranteed to be fair and unbiased. The court of public opinion shouldn't count when punishments for the rioters are being dished out. Actual by-gosh crimes (local state or federal) committed by the individual rioters should be the focus.
What I find funny is (if memory serves) because of all the summer rioting Trump got a law passed (or was behind getting it passed) that any damage to Federal property carries a 10 year prison sentence! Those fuck heads trashing the Capitol might have considered that in their mission risk assessment briefings!

I've known a few guys who committed suicide over what I thought was trivial shit, but you never know much about what runs through a guy's head (other than the bullet type) in some cases.
