After being reminded of this thread's existance , really jazzed about Ollie going after Ras on this week's Arrow. I'm betting he'll be the real deal, not the watered-down version from Batman Begins. Lately I've been thinking Walt Simonson's take on Manhunter from the 1970s would be a great fit on this show. Maybe next season?
SyFy to launch Krypton, which tells the story of Supes grandpappy. http://www.cnet.com/uk/news/gran-of-steel-meet-supermans-family-in-krypton-tv-show/
After a lot of rumor, live-action Teen Titans a go. http://www.superherohype.com/news/324319-teen-titans-series-to-shoot-pilot-next-year
Until they cast someone who's as good at being Grandpa Superman as Capaldi is as the Doctor, then you'll pretend to have loved the idea the whole time.
as long as it's very central to Nightwing, I'm in. But the team will be interesting. They probably won't let them use Cyborg, Arsenal is busy on Arrow, no way they have a Flash knock-off, and BB is traditionally comedy relief. It'll end up being "Nightwing and his Bitches" if they don't come up with another guy or two.
Don't pin any hopes on Nightwing, since a live-Batman is a non-starter on TV for Warner Brothers, any use of Dick Grayson will likely involve back-handed slaps or wildly out of character backstories of Batman to explain his absence (remember Birds of Prey?).
I'm calling it Kraprica already Not sure what the hell they'll do with it. Said before I'd love to see a sidequel of Zod and Jor, but not sure what they can do with Krypton - as a purely standalone series it has potential, including widening the DCU to include the actual universe, but that's big budget stuff. Pretty much nailed on they'll go down the social route though, and they'll want to parallel it with Earth rather than go with what seemed a genuinely alien world in MoS.
LSH or actual L.E.G.I.O.N? The latter has a lot of potential beyond Law and Order: Cairn, especially with Lobo...
LSH...which will never happen other than in animation because of the challenge of the 31st century backdrop
eh, I dunno. In the comics Dick purposely put distance between himself and Bruce for a while. Seems a sufficient enough explanation
I think the recent Earth One: Teen Titans graphic novel provides a template for a future TV show. It's essentially the Wolfman/Perez characters from the early 80s. It includes re-imagined (in some cases, pretty radically so) versions of: Starfire Cyborg Terra Changeling/Beast Boy Jericho Raven It does NOT include: Robin/Nightwing Kid Flash Wonder Girl/Donna Troy Aqualad Speedy See the pattern? All the sidekick superkids have been eliminated. Additionally, the remaining characters have a sorta common origin. Warner Bros. is clearly not TOO worried about characters peripheral to Batman appearing in TV shows--witness Gotham--but my guess is that they wouldn't want Dick Grayson used as he may well be a character who figures into forthcoming movies.
Which won't happen in this universe, because Jean Loring has already been established as Moira Queen's attorney in Season 2 and is old enough to be Ray Palmer's mother.
It was decent. Obviously the TV budget issue shortened their leash a little, but it was a good story with no shortage of entertaining moments.
The crossover was good, and it nicely highlighted the differences between the two series' despite them having a shared universe. And it also set-up the reason why Ollie may not ask Barry for help, and vice versa, in that they operate in very different ways they don't always agree see eye-to-eye over. I mean, if you're going up against Ra's, you'd think the Fastest Man Alive would be an asset, but probably not if you plan to stick some arrows in him.
Okay, I've started watching Arrow, and I've gotta say, both Queen and Allen have more daddy issues than a certain Skywalker kid.
Buckle up fellas Rumor has it that under consideration fr the role of Supergirl - and feircewly interested in winning the role - is British Actress Gemma Atkinson I'm just gonna leave this right here No idea if she can actually act. Still, the thought occurs to me: if they decide to use a backstory that involves Kara not having been raised on Earth (say, make Argo City a space station instead of a 'city in a dome') then it might be cool to let her keep some part of her native accent just for a more exotic take on the character.
She's certainly very attractive (even considering the amount of Photoshop done to the picture you posted), but she's 30. A "girl" only in a Beverly Hills 90210 kinda way. Laura Vandervoort, who played Kara in Smallville years ago, is the same age. If she can act, Marvel should consider her for Captain Marvel.
