Hiro didn't know that Peter was da bomb, and by the time the viewers realized it, Hiro was in feudal Japan.

Ya know, Nathan *MAY* have had enough sense to drop Peter and fly away before he exploded....

And everywhere in time he leaps he impregnates a woman, so that all the current few generations of heroes that we're seeing now are actually Hirospawn.

That's what I would have done. Wonder however if he is fast enough to out race the explosion.

Hiro! Ziggy says you have a 25.125 chance in killing that dinosaur. Oh that's a negative chance too. Don't ask.

Two seconds Hiro didn't have, thanks to Sylar's throwing him at a building with his near-dying breath.

When Molly was talking about the one person she doesn't like to locate, because "he can look back at me", was she maybe referring to Peter since he can mimic others' powers?

Or maybe it was foreshadowing next season's bad guy...

^There's no reason she would have thought Peter was worse than Sylar, so it's pretty much foreshadowing a new Big Bad.

    The Haitian?

I dunno, but the Haitian seems like he'd be able to counter any sort of mind trickery.

It was quite clear they were foreshadowing next seasons bad guy.

Sylar can mimic others powers as well and Molly had no problems with him so I don't see how Peter would scare her. Plus I doubt that Peter would be scary to her considering his character traits. He's a nice guy.

that was excellent, hopefully we'll see both petrellis again - and maybe 'origins' will feature their parents group...

looks like sylar will live to fight another day - he did the 'play dead' routine before, although i think we won't see him again for another season at least. be interesting to see a physically weakened - from hiro's attack - sylar having to operate completely from the shadows.

i'm wondering if the haitian is the one mollys afraid of? this higher power he's been working for may not be mrs petrelli. and we know of one hero who appears to be immune to him - nathan - who may or may not be dead.

be interesting if the walking holodeck awakens to find a missing senator and decides that without linderman, being a senator sounds like a nice job.

and is it me, or do we have the makings of a richards family now that molly appears to have joined the DL family? :soma:

Funny you mention immunities to the Hatian's power, I always wondered why the Hatian didn't simply prevent Ted from exploding the Bennet house. Plus I assume they wrote him out of the story before Kirby Plaza because his dampener would've made the climax not quite so climactic.

I thought Molly went with Suresh, but I'm guessing she and Micah will be rockin the house together in a couple of years.

But Sylar can only mimic the powers of others if they're brain is removed.

But yeah, I guess it was foreshadowing the bad guy.

There was no way for Molly to have known about an exploding man, or specifically that Peter was going to potentially be one.

Also, she specifically finds Peter for HRG, so that knocks the theory that he's the one she's afraid of out of possibility.

To nitpick a little, I believe this volume was "Origins," and the second volume is "Generations." From what I've read, we'll be looking at the previous generation of heroes, including the elder Petrellis.

I really think Sylar is honest-to-goodness dead, based on his eyes going dead after showing no more future than him lying down and Isaac's last words that he would tell the Heroes how to kill Sylar.

I don't think Nathan was immune to the Haitian. I think he just caught the Haitian by surprise that his ability was flight and was able to jet out of range before the Haitian could react.

Again, no real reason to suspect that she would consider the Haitian "much worse" than Sylar, the guy who killed her parents.

Oooo!! That opens the possibility that Sylar didn't drag himself into the sewer, but the "even worse", baddie is a Chud who ate Sylar.
The cockroach has to be a clue.

i'm on about the spinoff "heroes: origins"

i don't know anything about it yet, but the name hints that it might tell us more about the first set of heroes. although volume 2 being entitled 'generations' hints at that too.

A few details about "Origins" here:

    http://usmagazine.com/nbc_announces_i_heroes_i_spin_off

It's possible the spin-off would include older heroes, but I'd doubt it. Each of the six episodes is supposed to focus on an unseen character, and fans will vote for one of them to become a regular on the main show in 2008.

"Generations" is definitely supposed to give more backstory on the prior heroes, as I understand it.

I don't think Sylar's dead. I think Sylar saw the future and knew that he would be stabbed by Hiro, but that he would ultimately survive the assault and escape. Otherwise, I'd doubt he'd've gone and confronted Peter if he knew he would die.

And secondly, I read an interview they did with Tim Kring weeks ago, and he basically said he loves Sylar and Zachary Quinto too much to let him go. So it was quite obvious that Sylar was guaranteed not to be killed. :)

Just started watching this, damn this show rocks!

One thing that bugs me is how the Haitian's abilities seem to not be written in stone. Originally his only powers were that of dampening telepathy and to remove people's memories, both of these abilities are only related to the mind.

So how is it in the future he can dampen everyone's abilities just by being in the same area as them?

I think it was always intended that he has the power to both erase memories and stop people from using their abilities. I think that even in the "present" Heroes time line, he was able to suppress others' powers.

He can remove people's memories of how to use their powers, perhaps?

But I agree that they've always shown him as capable of nullifying powers in the "present." The how doesn't matter all that much to me.

Dunno if it's been posted yet, but Dania Ramirez, who played "Blanca" on the "Sopranos", has been cast as a new Hero next season. :techman:
