I've also said the lock out of the entire board was a mistake that we didn't know anything about until gtardo went around the staff to stir the pot and we started getting dual account warnings for long time posters. As @Tererun pointed out, everyone involved would have been banned on any other board.

You have two new admins who were not involved with that decision and who rightfully pointed out that Gul, shootER and myself went about the situation in the wrong way that have decided not to let him back in and who haven't made much in the way of big decisions in the last year since it went down.

Chup had declared he was going to leave the board a dozen times before that none of which had anything to do with me so forgive me if I don't buy his most recent drama excuse.

As for what I want? Unban GTurner as he never broke any rule. I have mentioned that many times so it is surprising you still don't get it. Hell, he probably won't even come back and after how he was abused who can blame him? The gesture of finally, belatedly, doing the right thing should be made though.

I am still not hearing an argument. I did hear a claim he contributed nothing but that is easily refuted by his non-Red Room threads as Captain X has pointed out. His red room threads often did get weird (like with the Ebola thread) but I am still not hearing a valid reason for why he was permabanned. There is a lot of deflection and "No, I don't want to" but no "this is the rule he broke which is why we needed to permaban him".

You remind me of the people who say anyone who disagrees with Trump should leave the U.S.. Some people choose to simply advocate for better policies and that is a good thing both wrt Trump and wrt the unjustified banning of GTurner.

That doesn't mean I hate this place or what to leave it but it does mean I think the mods can and should do better, to actually follow the rules they themselves wrote, and help agitate for better performance when folks fail to reach what should be the fair standard for all.

See, here's the deal: you want a reason that you consider valid. You have no stake in the board, you don't work to improve it in any way, yet you want it to conform to your demands. Just like ol' apostle above you, nothing short of total compliance to your demands will be considered. The board owners owe you nothing. You've been given your answer time and time again. You don't like the answer. That's fine, but you've moved to harassing board members and just being an asshole in general. Nothing you say now will ever get you what you want. So either live with it, and carry on with your life such as it is, or go elsewhere, if you feel you cannot tolerate the fact that gturner was banned, and find this board unwilling to listen to your demands. Agreed. Look what Enterpriser managed to do to TBBS before they got rid of him. Sure, he was eventually tossed, but the damage had been done. As for bannings, yeah, several posters here would have been long gone if dissent was the only reason required to remove someone. Hell, I know the names of the posters who shared my Blue Room information during the whole bullshit involving the Violet Room. I haven't told the Admins (sorry guys), but I know who you are, and instead of giving them your names, I hard deleted the threads where my information was shared, and decided the posters involved were just making a stupid mistake in the heat of the moment. I hate banning people, I hate it when people are banned, but I had no problem and still have no problem, with gturner being banned. He was awful for this board, and he would have kept dragging it down. In the months that he has been gone, discussion has vastly improved.

To put it another way, a little alcohol is fine to take the edge off, and to have a good time. Too much alcohol and you're just killing the body. Gturner was too much.

Fair enough, he won't get unbanned but it really is fair game to point out that he was unfairly banned without breaking any rule so at least be honest enough to admit the rules really don't mean anything and are just an excuse you use when it is convenient, John.
