Iran I get, even though I don’t understand how, given that Hezbollah isn’t involved, but why Russia? Israel is one of the least compliant countries with US/European sanctions on Russia (of those claiming to comply).

I was reading up on some of the guessing, and admittedly this is a Rusty Shackleford level guess as I am just letting the conspiracy chick in my head go crazy here.

However, she has noticed interesting timing. A few days back congress passed a time extebnsion on the budget which involved a cut to Ukrain aid from the pentagon IIRC. I thought at the time that was a clear blow to the MIC which has been using Ukraine to dump equipment on, and that was going to get most of that money to provide weapons to ukraine globally. It was shocking to see the republicans not bitch about lowering pentagon spending associated with Ukraine because Ukrain is considered a democrat value.

Now all of a sudden the republican's favorite MIC customer that they love to subsidize with pentagon and other aid is attacked on an obvious date with what should have been visible by US and Isreali intelligence. I am sure that we are going to give more money and arms to Isreal for their war after this. So despite repuiblicans demanding spending cuts this attack ensures a positive green light to dump more money into the US MIC from the US taxpayer to help Isreal.

This is not me complaining as the action was truly an act of open war that deserves a retaliatory ass kicking by Isreal. I have to say it comes at a convenient time when profits were going to drop for US and worldwide weapons manufacturing with the right wing warhawks tying up the left wing warhawk proxy war in Ukraine to demonize Biden for assisting Ukraine in a war against Russia. Somehow a way to increase military spending while aiding Repug allyu Putin just occurred and no one is going to legitimately argue with Isreal stopping their local terrorists.

There is a word called complicit that comes to mind with the US and even IDF somehow missing this completely despite so much effort and resources against Palestinian and Muslim middle east terrorist countries and hostile governments.

Hamas can get fucked and they hold blood on their hands not for those they just attacked, but those that will die in the response.

I'm seeing a lot of "free palestine" and "support decolonization" stuff today on social media, from people in the West who clearly don't realize that Hamas isn't interested in any of that. They're shedding blood today because it benefits Hamas, not because it'll do anything to help the Palestinian people.

And these are people who see through the "we're just Making America Great Again" and the "We're just de-Nazifying Ukraine and defending ourselves" lies with no issues, so I have a sneaking suspicion this is more about them celebrating Israeli bloodshed rather than falling for the lies in official press releases.

Is any country interested in that? The surrounding countries that criticize Israel for their treatment of the Palestinians don't seem interested in finding longterm solutions for them either, only in using them as props.

Yup, this war only helps the leaders of Hamas and Netanyahu's party, while fucking everyone else.

Although I fear globalization for some reasons, it would be nice to have a globalized government and police to stop these local incidents of war. If we did not have the powerful country borders a lot of this could be stopped as illegal and the actors involved prosecuted for crimes while civilian lives were protected.

yeah, the free palestine people can get bent if they are supporting this. This was an open bloody act of war on day when their guard was down. If that is what they are going to do, then they need to surrender to Isreal and ask to be removed from palestine. I do hope Isreal allows refugees to leave peacefully and I imagine at this point there are not many people legitimately not willing to fight left.

Isreal cannot have this from within the country and needs to take control of these areas. This just proved Isreal's point about the palestinians. You cannot make this choice to barrage missiles at the others and have any sympathy from me for Isreal securing their land. If this shit is what Palestine is going to do with their remaining presence in Isreal then Isreal needs to remove them for the safety and eventual security of it's people. This is way too far and way too inexcusable. Anyone who does not want to fight should immediately surrender and be safely removed. That also does mean watching the refugees for violence and trouble. That is not an excuse to set up camp elsewhere. If you want to fight, you fight now.

Isn't it obvious? Who's Israel's biggest ally? The US. Who's supplying Ukraine with lots of weapons? The US. Now, the Congressional Putin Caucus can argue that we need to stop shipping weapons to Ukraine and send them to Israel instead. Not saying that Russia is involved in this, but I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be the case.

Louk is a tatoo artist by trade and had been at the near the Gaza border in Israel for a music festival for peace rally.

I’m not saying that’s not the case given who we’re talking about… but it’s really stupid if true. Israel doesn’t need the same kind of military hardware, or remotely the same quantities. Even Republicans can see it’d be a rounding error to provide Israel enough weapons even to level Gaza, and that’s if they don’t have them already. It’s just such a tiny front compared to Ukraine.
