Sure it is! Now, we've established Obama has less executive experience than Palin.

Now let's compare Obama and McCain. Who's been a senator longer?

I'll wait while you take off your shoes and get a calculator to do the math.

Obama vs McCain, experience-wise seems to be a different thread. On that topic, though, McCain's ALSO got Obama beat.

We've also established that John McCain has less executive experience than Sarah Palin.

    John McCain has.

    And I don't care.

Experience isn't the only qualification for president. It's one qualification, but it's not the only qualification. I would say another qualification is that I detest what the man stands for.

As opposed to being in the Senate how long and working on how many bills and missing how many votes?

I know that, you know that. How is it gonna play in Peoria though?

Maybe, but historically the American people have felt very differently. They keep electing governors to be POTUS. When was the last senator elected to the presidency?

    ANSWER: JFK

So, you don't think experience is important. Interesting.

No wonder you're a democrat. Everyone's equal, regardless of achievement.

An extremely good strategic move by McCain.

I'm just sorry it's not Palin running at the top of the ticket; I'd actually consider voting Republican if the ticket were reversed.

Well, I will be voting Republican anyway, just not on the Republicans' preferred ticket.

So, you vote for the man you like the most. I can dig. But don't complain about Palin's inexperience or McCain's lack of executive leadership, since both of those are a far larger alabatross around the neck of Barak Obama.

Also, you're a really shitty debator.

Yeah he is. Everyone's wondering when McCain's gonna die off, so this becomes an election between Obama and both candidates.

Liar. The VC took his balls. Besides, I have 3, so I'm winning the numbers game.

Edit: Incidentally, I agreed with you, he's done good works in government. Doesn't mean he has any executive experience. Try reading next time. Left to right, top to bottom. Sound out the big words, and use Excedrin for headaches.

OK. At this point I'm starting to feel a little bad. Clearly Mikey is in waaay over his head here. So all sarcasm aside, I'll make my point and stop:

Your initial point was that Palin wasn't qualified to be President. I could've responded in one of two ways: By pointing out that she isn't running for President or that Obama is even less qualified. I took the second option.

So now you've switched around apparently, and your position is that Palin is more qualified than McCain, so clearly she's more qualified than Obama (since McCain has been a Senator for 135 years while Obama has only been one for around 3 months).

You may not understand it yet--you may NEVER understand it, Mike. But this is how the GOP has utterly PWNed the Dems--if you attack Palin's inexperience, you also attack Obama's inexperience. And if someone points out that the GOP ticket at least has some executive experience, the best you can do is point out that it is in the #2 seat--which only opens the door to how much of a n00b Obama is. Not only does Obama lack any executive experience, he's also held less than one term of high office.

I can't believe anyone would think she has less experience then Obama. Get real.

You could make a case they are equal if you pushed it but no one can who is truthful say she has less experience then him.

Two term Mayor, two years as Governor. That's experience. Certainly IMHO more then Obama's State Senate and Senate run.

I've acknowledged Obama's inexperience in this thread. I've said it's a concern, but something I'm willing to forgive.

But by the standard the republicans on this board have used, Palin's qualification for Vice-President (and by extension, President) is that she has executive experience...which John McCain himself doesn't have.

So how can something be a qualification and not be a qualification at the same time?

Anyway, I've said my piece. I think Palin is an interesting choice, but not a good one. And once the "OMG he chose a woman/outsider/etc" wears off, and she's put to the test, I think she'll be found wanting.

    We'll see.

I'll explain this as simply as I can without puppets (since you can't see puppets over the internet).

Palin's experience is she was a governor.

McCain't experience is that he's been a senator for a LONG ASS TIME.

BOTH of them are different, and BOTH are better than ONE TERM as a senator.

    Get it?

I'm really not. I've shown why EACH candidate on the republican ticket is more qualified than Obama. Palin has executive experience, and McCain has DECADES of senatorial experience. I never said ANY executive experience was superior to decades of senate time, and in fact I don't think she's more qualified than McCain.

You seem to be taking my statements to absolutes without providing evidence that I support your assertion.
