One thing about this pick, it should definitely add some fuel to the Clintons' motivation to work for Obama's election.

I doubt she sees a 74-year-old Joe Biden as a big rival in 2016.

Sarah Palin on the other hand...

Fact is, you surrendered a long time ago. She's run a state, she's given birth WHILE RUNNING A STATE, she's struggled with the idea of abortion in her own life, and she's got a son in the Army.

While Palin is governor of a small state in population, I would like to point out that it is a state geographically larger than some 100 countries around the world.

And it is a state that is roughly 20% or so of U.S. land area that produces 25% of U.S. domestic crude oil.

 

I have. He votes with his heart, and does what he thinks is right, and I commend him for that. However, the issue isn't Obama vs. McCain or Clinton in this argument. Its time spent as a senator versus time spent as a governor in terms of similarity of role to the presidency.

 

I see your purposely missing the point AND desperately looking for a way to cut 'n run (like Obama) from this discussion. I didn't say being governor qualified you to be president. I've said all along that executive experience makes you MORE qualified to be president. I know it's a subtle distinction but I have confidence in you. You can get it.

Does Obama have more experience in Administrative Government in an executive capacity than Sarah Palin?

Obama has never been a governor, so the answer is no.

But John McCain has never been a governor either, so this is a road you might not want to go down.
