Spider-Man 4 Already in Active Development It made over half a billion on its opening, so not really surprising.
That was just the post-credits scene from Spider-Man No Way Home. Also, "What If" is already canon, so not sure why the spoiler tag. Anything else I can poop on, while I'm here?
It's a shame this sequel is coming out six years later. I liked the first Dr. Strange and hoped they would make a sequel a while ago. But there have been 13 MCU movies made since then (some of which I've seen, and I do plan on seeing the latest Spider Man) and nearly 300 episodes of television across various series, so it's a difficult task to even begin to figure out what is going on here. I also had this problem with the latest Spider Man movies. I like the movies and Tom Holland has given the best portrayal of Peter Parker yet, but when I watched the first Spider Man movie I felt like it was a sequel because there was a lot of backstory that the audience was already expected to know. Same with the second Spider Man.
I agree about the Dr Strange sequel, but ... I think both Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland movies gave enough backstory that someone who had never seen or heard of Spiderman previously could follow the story line. Or, maybe that's because I've been reading Spiderman comics since the early 70s.
I agree. My complaint with the first Tom Holland movie wasn't the lack of an origin story, but that it assumed the audience already saw whichever prior MCU movie he first appeared in (I think it was Winter Soldier or Civil War?), and understood his relationship with Tony Stark. That was a really weak part of an otherwise great movie.
Ah. Yes. I was actually taken aback by that because I didn't watch the movies in order and ... I think I missed that post credit scene in whichever movie was before the first Tom Holland Spiderman.
I think it's great that Marvel has been able to create a large ensemble of characters with interwoven stories, but it makes it unapproachable for more casual viewers who aren't willing to invest 300+ hours into watching all of the various films and TV shows just to figure out what a Wandavision is.
True. But I don't consider myself a casual viewer. I love superhero comics and movies and tv shows. I soak them all up and then rewatch them over and over.
I thought Evil Strange was going to be in No Way Home, it should be interesting to see Cumberbatch fight himself.
Why can't it be episodic, like Star Trek Voyager, where I don't have to see last week's episode to understand this week's? Why must it be like Star Trek Deep Space Nine with the characters and the plot and the head hurting?
But why is Hulk trapped in the Delta Quadrant? And also why is it written poorly like Voyager, but with DS9 serialization expectations?
Ok so apparently that's Zawe Ashton who is going to play a villain in "The Marvels", the sequel to "Captain Marvel". I don't know how "Villain Lover's Club" or "Joy Division" figure in.
My insane theory? She's going to be Captain Marvel's girlfriend who goes bad. And they're gonna boogie to a Joy Division song.
Wait . . . didn't the villain Moonstone play Captain Marvel/Ms Marvel when Norman Osborn had his big takeover story going on? Maybe that's who this is going to be. Fake Captain Marvel being played by a villain who used to be Moonstone.
Can't believe you're all missing the obvious reference. Joy Division will help bring about the New Order in the MCU.
