This lady didn't become a Christian until 4 years ago. I pray that everyone who sins (everyone, myself included) would be called unto God. And I also wish that our government would not allow seconds at the marriage dinner table.
I am sorry to hear that. On the upside, it has gotten better over the years and now their main street actually is full of shops and restaurants. Back in the 80's and 90's the place was mainly known for street walkers and the cheapest rents in the county. Gentrification is slowly making its way through El Cajon.
Except one is specifically unconstitutional. The whole non endorsement of religion part. Tell us again about how you all support small government.
Low blow, dude. It is still a bit white trashy but the area has improved. It still has the highest poverty rate in the county, mostly due to an influx of refugees from the mideast and east Africa, but at least the storefronts now all have businesses in them. That wasn't the case in the early 90's. In the 00's property boom they actually built a fair amount of new construction there. If you get up into the hills it is not bad.
Obviously your interpretation of the Constitution is just as bad as your interpretation of posts on wordforge. So much for that California education systen you always crow about. As long as they are following the rule of law and not shirking their duties as public servants they are perfectly within their right to draw on their moral code the same as any non-christian. The Constitution in way shape or form prohibits that. Floridians know that by junior high.
We weren't talking about that, TR, and you know it. We were talking about poodle's desire to legislate his religious beliefs on to everyone else. Do try to keep up.
What does that have to do with the topic? We have somebody who is shirking her duties as a public servant.
Well, Kim Davis has accomplished one unintended consequence: She has made it harder for her fellow "martyrs" to get others to send them money: http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/0...nts-conservatives-from-raising-money-for-you/
Oh, a recent convert? That explains everything. Those assholes are like the recovering alcoholics that give self righteous lectures about the dangers of booze at every fucking party, like the rest of us are drinking away our paychecks and wrapping our cars around poles. This is why religion can't have nice things.
I grew up in Ventura county, went to college in Orange County, and worked in la county before going to law school in Northern California. My aunt and grandparents live in San Diego.
Addicting info is a partisan website. I will read it sometimes but generally it is the left wing equivalent to Breitbart.
Oh, I'm sure other sources will write articles less hurtful to your feelings, but it was the content that interested me, as in "You folks want to play martyr? Fine, but GoFundMe ain't aiding and abetting anymore. Ask your pastor to take up a collection."
Here's a kinder, gentler version of what Garamet's article said: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...iscriminatory-fundraising-activitie/?page=all
So they instituted a policy for their business that allows them to serve who they wish and refuse service to who they wish. Does that about sum it up?
Specifically, they are saying such people are violating the nondescrimination policy of the service and thus their campaigns do not meet the site's requirements. I am willing to bet that would hold up in court too. Unlike the claims of the bigoted people trying to us religion as cover for their bigotry.
How? They have a clear written policy about campaigns not being used to enable discrimination or illegal behavior and these cases violate those policies. The Supreme Court has ruled what that bitch did was illegal discrimination and so it is. Deal with it.
Except it's not. Criminal acts are included with that, meaning someone involved with Black Lives Matter getting sent to the slammer for vandalizing business can't use it to get rich, either. Neither could Bill Cosby's fanclub in the unlikely event that he faces jail time for his rapes. ETA: What Dinner said.
So a business is not allowed to say "we won't sponsor bigotry"? You'd be okay with a GoFundMe account for ISIS? Just making sure.
