We haven't cooked a turkey for Thanksgiving for many, many years and probably never will again. We did have catered turkey meals the last two years (from a soul food place in 2018 and from an Italian place in 2019) because I had to work, but when we make Thanksgiving dinner ourselves, it's something other than that. The last time I was off for the holiday I also cooked a prime rib.

? Other than on top of my head, I'm not all that hairy. funny too, as looking at this the only changes are a bit less cheek fat and a lot more grey. Probably still within 5 lbs of this picture being taken. (well, that and you'll likely never see me in a white t shirt again this life time)
My wife looked out the back door and said "Hey, that big buck with all the antlers is out back." I looked and he actually was strolling right past the camera.
New house next door to my girlfriend's place is framed up and the roof is going on. I love the smell of a new house at this stage. All that freshly-sawed lumber.
I used to build houses and worked at a lumber mill when I was a kid. Yeah that's a great smell no doubt. That said both jobs are super-dangerous and I'm glad I chose a safe job like the military. Dodging bullets is statistically safer and pays better - it was a no brainer!
Finished up Polar Lights' 1/350 scale K'Tinga Class Klingon Battlecruiser, with PL lighting kit. I had a few problems - Painting the black bands on the nose bulb clogged up some of those tiny windows.
