One woman was fatally shot (by a cop). There's a massive push to identify and out every rioter. Is that treating the white rioters with "extreme restraint"? There is no "catch and release" here where rioters aren't jailed because of COVID fears in a crowded jail. Sorry but there weren't any black rioters at the Capitol. If there were and the blacks got treated worse than the whites, you might have a point. But the rioters (who happened to be white) are rightfully getting SLAMMED with the full-fucking-force of the law. Nobody is in their corner, no celebrities are bailing them out, the media is not cheering on their bravery. Making this racial when the situation is complicated enough is some pathetic, distracting, unproductive bullshit no matter who is doing it. Biden wants unity? He may be sincere, who knows, but damn if it might not be the liberals slowing him down just as much or MORE than the conservatives when the dust settles! Just my 2 cents.
The point, dude, is that had the rioters/insurrectionists been black, there would have been a lot more gunfire and a lot more casualties. And anyone who's been paying attention for the last, I dunno, fifty years is well aware of that.
This girl wasn't even protesting, she was walking home with groceries and happened to get too close to the protests. The cops shot her in the face with a rubber bullet. Show me pictures of your traitor buddies that got shot in the face on January 6th and I'll say there's no double standard.
Would there have been? We'll never really know, and it's only speculation. You are aware that a lot of the Capitol cops are black, right? And I'm not a cop but as a white man if I was a cop I would be less likely to shoot blacks than whites because I know what a shitstorm there would be if I shot a black rioter versus a white. Think about this: if that woman rioter who was shot was black, you don't think there wouldn't be serious outrage? Give me break. As it is now nobody has said shit about the cop who shot her. White people and black people are saying "fuck her, she had it coming" because she had it coming. It's not always about race. Granted sometimes it is, but not in every case.
I've actually seen a small handful of Black guys in the videos and photos of the mob inside the Capitol. Further proof that stupidity doesn't discriminate.
You're like the DaVinci of missing points. It is a huge contrast between how the summer protests were handled and the capitol insurrection. If you disagree or need an explanation, let me know so I can just have you be the first person on this board I put on ignore. Because then you're either a troll or too stupid to live and not worth my time. Now there are a few possible explanations for the discrepancies in how the two things were handled. One is that the different agencies potentially involved in protecting the Captiol (Capitol police, Metro D.C. police, federal law enforement, National Guard) meant more bureaucracy and less clean lines of authority than, say, a given city's police department. Another is that Trump and/or Republican congressmen actively wanted the insurrection to happen, or were at least willing to turn a blind eye to it happening, because it was for his/their benefit. In other words, a mob of white people storming the Capitol to demand and end of police brutality would have been turned away well before they became a problem, and a mob of black people who wanted to disrupt the EC vote would have gotten every bit as much leeway as the mostly white mob did. But another possible reason is straight up racism, no matter how much you might want to deny it.

All I said was that there was a difference between how the summer riots were generally handled and how the insurrection was handled.
