I find it interesting that after taking a leave of absence from WF and then coming back only to decry how far WF had gone down the shitter and how much better the other boards he posted on were, that El Chup now wants to buy it.

As for buying it, since the debates here are rather predictable and boring, but I have invested so much time in this place over the past 8 years, I thought that buying it was a way to still contribute, but without needing to rely on the debates.

The oft-quoted "Judge not lest ye be not judged" is taken out of context. In that same message, Jesus said very clearly that you know a tree by its fruits. Your posts are very clear fruit: You lie about what I do in Africa, you insult people, you constantly whine about how bad the board is and how you are so much better than anyone else, and so on.

That is more than enough data to draw a conclusion. Jesus not only said that we know trees by their fruits, he warned us against not making those kinds of evaluations, lest we be fooled by people who are not what they claim to be. I do not think that you, with only a vague knowledge of Jesus' teachings, are in any position to tell others what "a good Christian" ought to be doing.

So I'm not going to waste my time trying to prove to you that you are not trustworthy. I won't pretend to be able to out-talk a lawyer, and I don't intend to try. Whether or not you believe you do not deserve to be trusted is irrelevent to me because it changes nothing. I and plenty of others have seen it; that is enough.

Ah, I see the WF brand of "entrepreneurship" is in play.

You can't have "complete freedom". There are some laws you have to take into consideration. Wordforge is as close to complete freedom as you're going to find already.

The whole board shouldn't be like the Red Room, the other forums have their own flavor and variety is a good thing. Plus, a person can get a break from the rowdiness and serious topics remain serious in the moderated forums. Still, we try to be as lax as we can get away with and retain that controlled atmosphere...which most people are really good about behaving anyway.

White Room? Meh. It's the internet, it's full of porn it doesn't need to be hosted here, too. Banning Baba = Fail. Ignoring complaints = Fail. Borgs and Ted being allowed back = Fail.

The graphics needing updating...that is true and Lanz, I think you should think about doing that soon yourself.

And I disagree, El Chup. A modship is a good first test of someone's potential for ownership. How a person handles the "power" and the inevitible shit members will toss at the staff sooner or later is telling. Because the pressures and aggravation increase with Adminship and is the worst with ownership. Especially when you make a mistake.

Borgs actively tried to destroy the board and has enough hacking skills to make him a continuous threat. He fucking lied to VBulletin trying to get our license revoked.

Ted is a stalker and he can't control his obsession with this place. He spent hours watching what everyone was doing via who's online and writing notes and shit about who was PMing who for example. And I happen to know for a fact he paid for a criminal background check on at least one WFer. And of course he became pushy enough with me to harass my teenage niece for information.

I don't see how letting either of them back is good for WF.

Yea. I agree. Never had anything against Scorp personally, but ... honestly? of the two, I'd rather El Chup take up ownership.

Outside of those two, there are several other candidates that come to mind - Chuck, for one.

I love contributing as an Admin, but I'd never want to own this place. I can't afford to, for one, but the amount of crap the owners get via PM and e-mail tends to be epic at times.

It's not as much "fun" as some would assume.

Plus, trying to keep a balance trying to make the most people happy as possible is sometimes a real challenge. And there is very little sympathy for guessing wrong around here.

I just am pretty sure if Scorpy or any of the other hard right, rep-warriors (not that one has to be one to be the other), myself and any other liberals would be banned immediately.
