Part of owning a board like this would be to maintain the freedoms to which it has become used to. The only changes I would make would be slight tweaks to make the implementation of the rules more consistent, instead of "pick and choose".

You were one of the worst mods this board ever had. You were notorious for threatening to close threads you didn't agree with. You would easily be the board's worst owner yet. I would rather see Cassandra get it back.

For what it's worth, if I owned I would not moderate. My decisions would relate solely to the structure of the board in terms of a few minor tweaks to the rules and adjustments to the physical structiure of it to perhaps make it more inviting for newbies.

Moderation would be down to the modship. I would not get involved in that shit. Nor would I implement any restriction of speech, no matter how retarded the opinions are.....because, simply, that is not what WF is about.

The one thing you would not get, however, is my trying to win the popularity vote. everyone would be treated equally, instead of the fucked up imbalanced shit we have now. Case in point, I sent a genuine PM to Lanz about buying the board, he couldn't even be bothered to respond. Why? Because I'm not the most popular poster. That sort of inequality isn't good for making the board last...it just drives people away....and the fact is that more people have left or reduced posting under Lanz then any other owner, including Borgs and Cass,

I like the fact that I get judged before anyone has actually seen how I would run the board (which entaisl completely different responsibilities from a modship).

Here's the deal:-

1) I find your religious crusades to the Third World to be repugnant and offensive. I find your belief in a fictional cult distasteful.

However....

2) If I owned the board these opinions would only ever be put forth in debates. No threads would be closed. No rules implemented to stop you and anyone else putting forward their views. I would never strip the core speech freedoms of this board. Indeed, the board would be more free than it is now. The White Room would return. No bans for trolling with the paedo label and so on.

So what exactly is it that you fear? Or is it just a case of you assuming I would run the board badly simply because you don't happen to like my views on your religion, views posted as just another member and not an administrator?

Subsequently, I don't think many here would make BAD owners on a day to day basis. But when controversy arises, I would want an owner who 'gets' this place, and make decisions based on the spirit that got us here in the first place.

And here is the first and foremost reason why I would never participate in a board you run: I have stated many times, explicitely, that I do not do any evangelism in those Third World countries, yet you constantly repeat this lie, simply because of your hate for religion in general, even when that religion is doing urgent humanitarian work.

You are not trustworthy when you continually lie. So why should I believe you will suddenly change your stripes and become a champion of liberty if you become board owner?
