An objective, scholarly class on world religions would be fine, but you know that would make Evangelicals lose their shit.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised at how sad little boys the far right is today but I actually snorted at the part where one of the d-bags tells the others that if they have girlfriends they should take them on their mural defacement ops so that they have blackmail against them.

Conservatives hate women as well as minorities, who knew?!?!

Go look up how the various pandemic funds Trump set up while he was President were administrated. See what kind of oversight they had (*spoiler alert* almost none), and then get me Rand Paul complaining that he wasn't allowed to insert language allowing for IG oversight of those funds. I'll wait.

From what I can tell, Rand Paul hasn’t been a Trump sycophant like Lindsey Graham so I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove.

He’s doing this because he knows what the answer is. Once again, he thought he found a clever “gotcha,” only to have it blow up in his face when pressed on it.

Not really. I like Amash but he's wrong on this one.

The difference is this is an emergency measure for a one time grant for an ally facing invasion in an active war zone.

That's considerably different than a years long pandemic response that was far larger in scope, resources, and complexity.

Note that this objection also comes from a man that has long ties with Russia, one of the Senators who visited there on the 4th, has questioned the US policy of aiding Ukraine period, and has been accused by John McCain of actively working for Putin.

So Amash should understand that Paul's response may be compromised.

Ironically, Greg Abbott is under investigation for misuse of COVID funds just today because it came out he used them for his border control PR dog and pony show. Paul can't claim any credit there, but perhaps that's the point - oversight for thee but not for me (or mine).

Okay, evade this: did Paul object to the lack of oversight on any of Trump's pandemic funds? :waiting:

I respect John MCCaine, but did he provide any proof of his claim or was he just being hyperbolic? This is the problem with politics these days, if you don’t support the endless wars and you question foreign policy with regards to Putin, you’re called a Putin puppet. Add in a little TDS and things get worse. The accusations go unchallenged because you don’t want to be next. It’s McCarthyism 2.0.

First you must prove that there wasn’t any oversight.

You constantly bullshit yourself over things you don't want to be true. But then, that's what you have to be to be a conservative these days.

John McCain didn't start McCarthyism among the Republican party. That's completely inane.

Neither did Mike McCarthy, when he was caught on tape talking only to his own caucus saying that he believed Trump and Rohrbacher were on Putin's payroll.

Again, only to his own caucas. He admits the truth to them. Just like his comments on the Jan 6th insurrection in private, vs his comments there in public.

The GOP is compromised, and it's own people are pointing it out. You know, like how BOTH of Trump's Sec of Def said he is a threat to the US Constitution.

They are telling you the truth, but you prefer the lies, so you keep telling the spin that Fox and Newsmax spread for you. Much more comfortable than the truth.

So what you're saying is that with any government spending there's automatic oversight. If that's true, then why did Rand Paul feel the need to require it once Biden took office?

You don't have proof for much more of half the stuff you post. You post it anyway because you believe it.

And when your own camp is saying something negative about their members is true, that's a much stronger case than if the opposition does.

You believe the lies the Reps tell the Dems.

But reject the truth Reps tell about Reps.

Your standard of belief against a liberal is an innuendo or rumor, even if you know that it comes from a source that is biased.

Your standard of belief for the GOP is whether or not they have been locked up for the crime. Even then you ignore the GOP is indicted and convicted at 10 times the rate the Dems are.

    It's really quite pathetic.
