I hate this game. I can't get on sometimes, and it keeps saying it is retrieving my character information.

I love going to space stations out in the middle of nowhere. It has that frontier feel to it.

so with this game am I to assume that you can only be federation? and not Romulan?

You are a member of Starfleet, but you can make your race anything, even make up a race if you want. When you reach Lieutenant Level 6, you can start a character in the Klingon Defense Force. Give it time, they'll come up with other factions.

They will bring out rommies and snakeheads soonish for a small fee.

This is pissing me off. Something they did with the last update is causing my video card to shit the bed any time I'm on an away mission with a lot of characters and weapons fire around me.

Switch off AA

AA I think means anti-aliasing for those not in the know.

I am also having problems logging on, but I think those are due to server being full.

Seeems if you get the game at ChiComMart you get 500 skill points free. I am tempted to buy this game. Scorp have you tried mass effect 2 yet? Martin Sheen is in that game.

I read something about them adding Borg content and Borg missions in the game.

Presumably as time goes on they will add more and more planets and races to the game. Is the Dominion in the game?

So I get that there is a lot of combat. But can you actually explore worlds and do diplomatic type stuff?

It's mostly away team phaser fights and ship battles. However, I have done a few scientific missions, like surveying an asteroid field looking for mineral deposits for so and so's homeworld. I've also engaged in diplomatic missions, but those tend to turn into ship battles as some angry faction comes out of the woodwork and attacks. I have done errands of mercy, where I've secured medical supplies for a colony with an outbreak of some kind of deadly plague. But I would say 90% of it is ship battles and away team phaser fights.

Well, I'm late to the game, but y'all got me hooked. It's downloading now.

Uncle Albert, my friend also had the same issue with the video card and the game crashing. She reinstalled the game and it works fine now. Do it overnight if you have to, because it takes a long time.
