This looks very impressive. A bull-pup, bottom eject, pump-action 12 gauge, with TWO seven round magazines. 26" of compact whoop-ass. Of course, a semi-auto with an automatic magazine changeover would be better still...
I don't think they invented it. Must have one though. Caution Link Directs To Russian Website Neostead shotgun (South Africa) It has dual 6 round magazines.
Looks nifty but yea I'd wait for a semi auto version. I like my shoulder not being turned to mince meat
I hope this isn't law enforcement only. It looks like they've taken the Neostead's concept and significantly improved it.
I hope I'm not coming across as a bloody liberal, but when I saw the thread title, I actually thought you were going to post something about a new kind of weapon that was non-lethal...
Seems to be the case that it will be legal here in Kalifornia, so I might just pick one up. Suggested retail price was said to be in the $800 range...
Saw an opinion elsewhere that said that this would be a good tool for military and police entry teams. Load one tube with breaching rounds, the other with buckshot or whatever.
No doubt once California sees it and has a heart attack you will be banned from owning it because you are a criminal. Wait? You're not a criminal? Well you still can't have one.
Yep. Just read the details from the Kel Tec website. Flip a switch and you've got access to the other tube. Given it's design it would make a good home defense weapon. Slap a Red Dot and a flashlight on it and you're good to go. Just wish it was going to be cheaper then $800.
Well, certainly one can get a very decent Remington 870 Security model for $400 or so (got mine on sale for $349!!!), so, no, $800 is no great shakes for a pump shotgun. Sill, it is an interesting new approach and the capacity and handiness make it very, very appealing. Like I said: give me a semi-auto in the same package...
The law-dissectors over at Calguns.net say it doesn't run afoul of any California laws because tube magazines on shotguns aren't restricted by any laws.
Kel-Tec. If you're making a low budget science fiction series in Vancouver, you need to talk to them.
I can't think of any current shotgun that has 14 rounds in it. If Cali banned high capacity mags there is no reason they wouldn't ban this one.
Technically, an en bloc clip is. >EDIT< Though the real difference between a clip and a magazine is that a magazine has an integral feed mechanism (a spring-loaded follower) while a clip does not. Now answer my question.
