Yes I just read this on Fox news. I went to Air Force bomb loading school in Aurora way back when. Whoever did this is one sick puppy - I hope they fry whoever did this, assuming they don't off themselves first.

This is only going to feed into the Hollywood hysteria over the "curse" of the Batman movies.

I'm not familiar with the "Batman Curse." Is Heath Ledger over-dosing on prescription medication the extent of the curse?

Anyway, when some fifty plus people are shot in a theater, it really doesn't much matter what movie is playing.

I worked in movie theaters for 10 years...after 9/11, the possibility of some fucked-up individual or group being tempted by the maximum-body-count prospect of attacking a crowded movie theater has always been on my mind. Although I honestly did not imagine it happening for this particular franchise.

At least they got the guy alive so we can pick his brain. My money's on the Gabbie Gifford shooter mentality, i.e. "I shot up a crowd for no better reason than that I'm batshit crazy."

Maybe Nolan's got a working version of the Tesla replicator/teleporter from The Prestige so we can kill him more than once.

I am incredibly saddened by the deaths and injuries.

I am disappointed no one was armed and able to stop the shooter.

If this were Texas or Arizona, someone could have stopped this sick fuck in his tracks before too many people were killed or injured.

Colorado has pretty lenient carry laws.

If I had to guess, the reason no permit holders stopped this was that it was a "hippy" type crowd.

CNN is reporting via the local police that the nutbar that did this started by throwing smoke bombs/tear gas into the crowd so even if someone was armed it probably would have been difficult to return fire.
