A few random, but no means complete predictions... Cal takes Tennessee. Auburn over K-State, but Wildcats keep em honest Texas Tech over SMU, close. Oklahoma will win, but won't score 20 points against N. Texas. My Pokes over Georgia.
Auburn takes Kansas State by 7 points or less. Oklahoma State takes Georgia by 3 provided they can completely shut down Georgia's passing game. Cal over the Vols by two touchdowns. Tech upsets the Irish. More later.
I am so happy that football is back. I missed it. I leave the sound of it in the background, just to relax me. Yay, football. OK here is my prediction Vandy will lose most of it's games, and provide a shocking loss to a top 25 school...you know pretty much like we always do.
I'll give you Call over Tennessee, Auburn over KSU, even Slowkie St over Georgia... but Tech over SMU a close game??? We're looking at a minimum 17 point victory, probably 21... and OU is going to absolutely obliterate UNT, 56-7, and that 7 is generous. I've got UT over TCU 28-17 as well, and I think they'll struggle to do it. How'z that for some predictions?
Bah, ou's starting a true freshman quarterback, and is notorious for slow starts, no matter how much they hype their frosh. Forgot about the ut/TCU game. Washington spanking Syracuse at home 35-6, they deserve it for those hideous uniforms.
Did fucking Appalachian State just beat Michigan??? Tell me this isn't true. God dammit!! Why do I even try to fill out a football pick 'em card in any contest?
On one hand, Appalachian State is the two time division I-AA defending champion. On the other hand, no division I-AA school has EVER beaten a ranked Div I-A school. Lloyd Carr has got to go.
Pac-10 is looking pretty good so far. Oregon St beat up on Utah physically, winning the game while knocking out their QB and RB for the season. A supposedly bottom dwelling Washington team crushed Syracuse. And right now Washinton St is giving Wisconsin all they can handle at Wisconsin (of course, there's a lot of time left in that one, Whiskey should pull away).
I gather Auburn is fucked without this particular running back? He should have gone to class or gotten a tutor. Tsk tsk...
The team isn't sunk without him, but it'd be a hell of a lot better to have him around. Auburn typically sucks during the first game regardless of who they're playing. I can't disagree with this at all. Student first, Athlete second. Why didn't he ask for a tutor when he knew his grades were slipping? I'm sure the team would have found an NCAA friendly way to make it happen.
It makes you wonder. I guess the athletes think it'll never happen to them, i.e. getting suspended. There's a lot more where he came from, I'm sure, and not just at Auburn.
We're going to miss a quarter of the O-State/Georgia game if Mizzou doesn't hurry its ass up and finish.
Terrific, they went 3 and out on their first series and then fumbled the snap on the punt. Georgia scores from State's 12 yard line.
Notre Dame manages to lose 33-3. Every season that team is the most consistently over rated team... I hate that BCS bowl rule more and more every time I watch them.
I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work. I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully. I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men. I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body, and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports to develop these qualities. I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all. I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all. I believe in my Country, because it is the land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by "doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God." And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
