Apparently Mizzou is, too. Whoever thought subbing the Rams in for the Tigers in the second half would be a good idea is one of the more spectacular idiots I've heard of in a while.
So who the bloody hell is going to play in the title game against Ohio State now? Hawaii is too much to ask. The fucking big ten commisioner is happy, I'm sure.
Well, I was rooting for Mizzou all the way, but OU left little doubt about who was the better team. In fact, OU looked far better than their #9 ranking. Dare I say that OU was never in any real danger of losing?
They'll jump LSU back in, because that's who the network types have wanted all season. LSU vs. Ohio St.
Well THAT sucked! Credit to the Sooners, though--they manhandled the Tigers most of the game, and converted in the Red Zone when they had the chance. The pressure their D put on Mizzou was outstanding! This game definitely exposed a couple of needs for Missouri--need for more penetration from the DL, and need for a big honkin' monster of a Running Back for short yardage and goal line situations. What really sucks IMO is the fact that Mizzou beat KU just a week ago, and now they will be getting into a much worse Bowl game slot than the Jayhawks. So, BCS Championship game? I'd personally say Ohio State vs. LSU. Buckeyes' single loss to an almost BCS-ranked Illinois team, and it took 6 OTs for LSU to lose two games. Sorry Georgia, but you shouldn't have lost those other games.
ASU beat the hated Arizona Wildcats to finish 10-2 and tied for the PAC-10 title. Very nice season. Hopefully the Sun Devils will get a good bowl game (perhaps the Fiesta Bowl vs. Oklahoma).
I'd say OU deserves a shot, but they can't play on the road for shit. But it will probably be OU/LSU.
They were until (at the very least) they sacked Daniel about 2-3 times in a row early in the 3rd quarter . . .
I'd like to think so, but I seriously doubt it. I haven't heard a single commentator say that it will be anything other than LSU vs. Ohio St. Wake me when it's over....
In college football, if a receiver catches the ball and falls down without being touched by a defender, can he advance the ball or is it marked where he hit the ground? The reason I ask is that in the first half last night, one of the OU players caught a long pass, fell down and got back up but didn't advance the ball. He clearly wasn't touched by a Mizzou defender.
Kansas vs. Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl. Looks like Arizona State will play Texas in the Holiday Bowl.

We don't even make a NYD game. Oh well, it was supposed to be an off year anyway. I want Miss State back though!
I haven't even heard of a lot of those bowls. I'm glad ASU didn't get stuck in the Sun Bowl. The Sun Bowl is closer to New Year's Day, but San Diego is a cooler place to visit.
Not that I expected much, but damn this really sucks. I don't give a crap about playing Virgina. The one thing I like about Tech getting in Bowl games is getting to see how they test against good out of conference teams. And fucking LSU gets handed a national championship against crappy OSU. Fuck that, I'm not even gonna watch it.
Well, I guess we will finally get to see if the Rainbow Warriors really are as good as their record! If they blowout Georgia, I think the BCS needs to get down on its knees and give Hawaii a big sloppy hummer to apologize for the lack of respect, ranking, and spot in BCS Championship Bowl. Still, that's a pretty damn big IF.
This is the real National Championship for me. Hawaii should claim the title if nothing else if they pull off that win.
I thought I saw in the paper where they were both tied for the title but USC wins it due to its victory over ASU. Sorry I wasn't precise. Trojans win.
Actually, ASU can claim a co-conference championship according to Pac-10 rules. They just don't get to play in the Rose Bowl. USC gets its sixth straight BCS game, the most of any team. Too bad there isn't a playoff, I think they'd fare pretty well now that they are finally healthy. Wonder if we are going to have another year with a split BCS/AP champion.
Well, like I said before, if I were Hawaii I would claim the nation champion title if I won my game... that is a big if though. Virginia Tech also has a right to it and Georgia too.
Every team with a claim should claim the national championship, just to fuck with the BCS, every year from now until we get a playoff system.
